I need some ideas and tips for attaching a small mother cupboard (11" wide ,27" high ,8" deep, room for one mother) to my growdrobe, i've masses of extraction from 150 rvk on speed controller in main drobe and will need an extra intake once weather warms up so was wondering just how unwise it would be to duct the mother cupboard on using appropriate light filter and anti bacterial filter and use it as the extra intake , rather than adding extra ducting and a splitter or boxing the filter and having two holes ,one for main cupboard and a duct through to mother. 34.gif
i'm guessing problems would be contamination, air quality issues or maybe low temperature in mother box once i turn fan up. don't want to spoil my current first grow so feel free to rip this idea apart with hard facts.

Hiya mate,

Sorry too stoned to understand most of your post at the moment lol.gif. One thing I would say is the height of your mother compartment seems abit small for me! Bare in mind the light space aswell! It is very hard to keep a mother so small! The more clones you take off her the bigger she grows!!

Just a thought mate smoke.gif smoke.gif

Reading it properly this time though, erm I dont know.

I vent mine differently. I have my carbon filter inside my flowering room wth ducting running outside the grow tent which is attached to a 2 way duct piece, one going to the extractor fan and the other ducting going to the vegging space.

I understand what your trying to achieve and providing it is all air tight and you have light filters it should work. Its just with the 2 lights being so close together this will generate alot of heat, especially in summer. A strong fan and a couple of clip ons will be needed.

Contamination shouldnt be a problem providing your grow areas are clean. I have never had a problem with insects etc but my grow tents are sealed. If they are linked and you get a problem in one area it probably would spread but then if you have a problem in one you will already need the stuff to get rid of the contamination so you might aswell do both areas!!

Now im baffling on lol.gif.

Hope this helps in some way or form

Ta mate, i think your right about the heat, it all seems well and good in main drobe now but if i start sucking in hot air i could be in for trouble, problem is i've got the mum in with the vegging cuttings at mo and need her out before flowering starts, reckon i'll try it for now and see how much extraction i get and save up for splitter and filter before the weather gets too sultry wink1.gif thanks for the advice.
