hello all, atm im growing 6lowriders under 400watt hps, with an rvk 100 extractor, in a growbox type thing. now once the lowriders finish (in about 4-6weeks time) im going to start a proper grow in a bigger area. lets say 4feetx4feetx5feet height. now i would really like an uphigh since heavy buzz is a bit long during daytime. i was thinking of getting 10 northern lights and 10 haze seeds, (i hear nl is great high, and haze sativa dom. so uphigh) which NL would be better, the nirvana one or kc brains, and is the nirvana haze ok?
and also are there anystrains that have an uphigh but dont flower for ages or arent too hard to grow? wink1.gif

I've recently done some Nirvana Northern Lights special (I think it was called).
Nice plant, can recommend it. I've not grown Nirvana haze though. If you want a haze I'd pay more money for a good strain as they can be very low yielders.

they can be very low yielders.

Hiya Teddy, hey dude growing haze can be very tricky why dont you consider doing Northern lights 5 x Haze it has the attributes of both the strains you mentioned and is easier to grow than haze. The strain is a big yielder if grown under the right conditions and the smoke in my opinion was one of sensi seeds best.

How much you want to spend? There are lots of haze crosses available.....eg

Cannalope Haze
Super Silver Haze
Nev. Haze

You can go 12/12 from seed with a Haze and keep it smaller, if space is a problem...

Sorry but I would'nt advise starting on 12/12.Start as normal on a veg cycle and prune the plants back if you have to,but better still, take clones like in Ot1's pinned Haze grow.

I wouldnt grow Haze alongside NL because to the huge difference in flowering times. As has been said,NL#5/Haze is the best of both worlds and will mature in a half decent time compared to a pure haze.

Somebody mentioned Grapefruit being a sativa.I've not grown it but I thought it's an indica or indica dom hybrid.KC Brains do a Haze Special that might be worth checking out. yinyang.gif

I have not tried this myself... but have seen it even suggested by the seed breeders...

Example - Mr Nice seed - Taken from there description

Mango Haze

"go directly into 12/12 with a rooted clone or seed"

Grapefruit (90% Sativa) - This is a 75% C’99 x 25% strong fruity sativa

Someone I know did SSH in 12/12 from seed and the results were nothing short of stunning.
If the plant is "sativa" enough, then there's no problem. Obviously out of the question with indis.

You gotta remember that the Equator = permanent 12/12, and the weed there isn't exactly awful wink1.gif

I just grew some SSH, and it was "reasonable" in terms of height. I vegged under fluoros so that kept them short for a sativa dominant. It stretched to about 2.5 times in height...

nirvan haze didnt work for me at all. frankly it wus due to my growroom and techniques being not suitable enviroment for it.
i mean actually not suited for haze.
its a tricky strain pure haze (if thats what nirvanas is) to grow. for me anyway.
nirv northern lights is shit hot but not an "up" stone / high. absolutely beautiful alll the same.
the most up high i and my mates have ever smoked was dutch passions orange bud - man that shit made me want to go out and talk shit to everyone , then come home and do housework??? no idea what thats all about but it was enjoyable lol.gif!
it wus fecking a beautiful high!
best skunk there is apparently. as far as i know / have heard.

all the best anyhoo man hope it works out for ya wink1.gif
