Heya.

Growing some indoor feminised Ice seeds at the mow, Currently got 4 of them and there all females, Very nice biggrin.gif

I quite like them and was wondering if there suitable for growing outdoors with, As I have heard these femed seeds require perfect growing environments or theyll turn hermie sad.gif

Anyone tried femed seeds outdoor, What ya think of it?

all my female seeds were indeed female although 1 or 2 seeds were found in each plant but nothing to worry about

You must be on the East Coast then, I'm in Galloway and it was, apart from a few hot months in the summer, pretty wet last year. Mind you, I read an article by the Chief Constable of D&G which said he was sure that Galloway Forest Park must have at least a few Bud plantations hidden in it's 300 square miles of wilderness, though he assured the public his gallant force would hunt them all down. rofl.gif My own plan for this year is to get a few DP Passion #1's and some Female Seed's Easy Sativas out in the Galloway Hills, so I'm hoping for a long hot summer, and a long stoned Autimn and Winter smoke.gif .

I've been producing my own feminized seeds over the past year......what I've found is that if the female plant used to self pollinate did so do to forced stressing to turn her hermie, then she doesn't necessarily have the trait dominant in her genes....thus, her offspring has a real high percentage of not showing hermies.....

If seeds are from a plant that went hermie on its own, under normal conditions and not "overflowered" then the hermie trait is most likely to strong to use the seeds and expect good results....

Some of the better breeders have actually gone thru thousands of plants to find that one true XX female.....

This means that they may have stress induced hundreds of plants at a time through light cycle manipulation.
ie: flip to 12/12 for 7 days, back to veg for a week, 12/12 7 days and back to veg...doing this several times confuses the plants and causes them to produce male pollen sacks in attempt to save its own life and repopulate..... A true XX female will not turn hermie under these conditions because she is a "true" female....
By pollinating her with the pollen from a stress induced female, you get 99% female seeds..
A long process if done correctly...

Put the bitch outside and IMO she'll thrive and reach for the sun.... wink1.gif

Hi Troubled Mind.
Thanks for looking in at my ice clones smile.gif
I never grew outside (yet) but i would say the ice is a very strong plant, and with a good start i don't see why she wouldn't love it under the sun.
I've grown them 3 times inside, the first was one of my first attempts, so she went through quite a lot of newbie stress, and so far no hermies at all
All the best

I grew DP's rance and Twilight last year and had no problems with flowering at all. All female all the time, although I can't vouch for over ripened plants, these were brought down at the end of september...just ripe!
