Hi there,

Finally dug out my never been used camera and thought I would take some pics of my first grow for you peeps to see!! But all I get is flashing lines on the camera screen!! Does anyone else have this problem?....Is it the lights?....How do you get round this?

If all else fails, suppose I could try later when I take them out to feed!

Thanks

The flickering lines are caused because your hps/mh light constantly flickers on and of 50 times a second. You can't see it with the naked eye, but it screws camera shot up.

Try turning the light off and taking photos with the flash, or using another light source.

Also, some cameras have a setting which adapts the exposure to the light, might be worth looking into if your technically minded or up to flicking through the manual.

Interestingly, digital HPS lights provide constant light, therefore cameras do not suffer this problem.
