Hi All,
I spent 150 quid on a thermo/humidistat gizmo that can slow my fan speeds etc and is supposed to keep my humidity at 50% ...BUT....
It was fine last year when i had more plants and i had em on full power and humidity was perfect... BUT NOW...
Ive got less plants in the room and my humidity is around 20 - 25%.
I have tried turning the speeds to half speed but its not working.
Should i turn them really low?
Should i have the intake higher than extraction?
Should i turn the humidistat up to 80% (its set on 50% at the moment but that is obviously not working)
Or do i have to buy a fogger or summat pinch.gif
Thanks in advance people for dealing with my stupidity in a helpful manner wink.gif

hi m8 trial and error try the fan ajustments before buying a fogger.
Perv
maybe set the fans to switch off and then on regular so it builds up humidity rather than have them constantly on? Just a guess mate

answers simple -- add more plants lol.gif

it was fine with more stands to reason more is better lol.gif

seriously though, if u did have more plants, think of plants as big water holding device lol.gif then it was fine as u had more water in the area.

now u got less plants and less area holding water in the room so humidty would be lower logically

u need raise it, and is few ways u could......lowering intake will raise humidty but air quality will sufferi guess as less fresh air being taken in

the humidistat would i think be better option that way got fresh but humid air in the room

dont take my word on it though wait for an experianced grower knows bout these things, sure u get the right advice

As has already been suggested, I would play about with the humidistat settings and fan speeds/periods first, before adding a source of water vapour to the room.

A *low* humidity isn't always a bad thing to have, anyway - it will just mean that your plants will transpire a bit faster, meaning that they will probably drink a bit more, and they may grow leaves which are a bit smaller and narrower to try and limit water loss due to increased rates of transpiration.
