Dont know if you all remember my previous failed attempts at germinating seeds, but after I went to Amsterdam I starting with some White Widow seeds and they all germinated fine biggrin.gif

Just got a couple of questions regarding my setup (a 8 pot hydrogarden flood and drain hydroponic set with 600w hps light)

1. Do I need to leave the pump constently on in the system, or do I need to leave it on every few hours for enough time to fully flood the system (then letting it drain). Getting lots of storys from people who dont really know.

2. How busted would I get if the police found out (really dont wanna go 2 jail)

Thanks alot for any advice and I will post a pic shortly so everyone can see how there getting on.

I might be able to help with the first question. I have got a four-pot flood and drain system. I have the pump on a timer, that comes on every three hours, for two minutes, and fully floods the buckets. They seem very happy with that biggrin.gif oldtoker.gif Hope this helps oldtoker.gif

My f&d system floods 6 times a day for 15 minutes at a time, 2 when lights are off and 4 when they're on.

Your second question is more difficult to answer. It depends on a bunch of things, not least of all how good your solicitor is.

Rules in no particular order.

Don't tell anyone, not even your best mate.
Don't keep evedence of past and future grows.
Don't keep any scales or bags anywhere near your grow, not even if the wife uses them in the kitchen.
Make sure your grow room is very secure/undetectable.
DON'T TELL ANYONE. (it's worth repeating)

IMO you've picked a good plant to start with, I find it a lot more forgiving than most strains. Good luck.

Just in case the shit did hit the fan it pays to follow some simple rules.

Don't keep decent scales in your house especially not your grow room. You can buy cheap digital kitchen scales at Argos for ~£10 which aren't that accurate, but good enough for me. These should be kept in the kitchen. - Intent to supply

Don't have a large supply of zip lock bags in the house. - Intent to supply

-Edit- stoned minds think alike eh Cowboy cool.gif

Don't leave records and photo's of your past grows lying around. If you want to keep records do so on your computer and encrypt the files. - Proof of continual growing

The less professional your grow looks the better. Transfer your nutrients into empty tomato feed bottles etc. might make a difference to a judge. They don't like hydro

Say nothing when arrested. contact Release and make sure you have an expert witness for the trial. You can be sure the prosecution will have one.

Its not likely to happen but if it does and your unprepared you can be in deep shit.

Trying to find the link I got some of the above from but can't at the 'mo. If I do I'll post it as it was interesting reading.

Hi cal3b,
I use home made flood and drain so i have no experiance of the
shop systems so this might be wrong lol, i looked at how much depth of water i wanted, i chose about 1-2 inches from top of growing medium, i then pumped the system and timed how long it took til it reached the mark,i programed this time for the 'on' period and flood very 3hrs 24/7water temp's are slightly tepid,
works for me, you might get more if you play around with things like frequency of watering and rest periods etc, but once i have a smoke i just don't seem to get round to it rolleyes.gif
If you grow and sell weed ( not saying u r m8 btw)you are in far more danger of getting busted and poss jail term, i find it hard to think of anyone going to jail just for growing 8 plants, but sadly must have happend:unsure:
just me 2p's worth ;lol
take care and good luck
