So .... this is day 6 working on the room. Typical stoner, not much got done.

Day 1 and 2
Spent cleaning the room. It was knee deep in random shit found throughout my apartment.

Day 3
I then coated the floor with thick durable plastic, not the stuff you see pictured here. Following which I layed white-black plastic throughout the floor.

Day 4
I then covered the only window in the room with the same plastic. From there I made a "frame" of 2" PVC around the entire room to suspend stuff from. The lights, blower, the plastic door, and my filter system.

Day 5
This day was spent smoking. Not much got done on day 5. I hung the light. Yay....

Day 6
I cleaned out all of my tools, building materials etc, vacuumed out the room real good and set up the General Hydroponics AeroFlo2-36 System. It worked! No leaks yahoo.gif

Left to do

[] Suspend Blower
[] Set up Filter system
[] Make a door flap out of black/white plastic
[] Create an insulated panel with intake/outtake for fans for window
[] Set up CO2
[] Install TDS Meter
[] Install PH Meter
[] Set up Humidity/Temperature Meter
[] Set ballast properly
[] Install flange on light reflector
[] Install exhaust from light reflector to blower
[] Reconfigure bathroom plumbing for a garden hose valve
[] Make my clone machine
[] Wire my 175 Watt MH Ballast
[] Make reflector for 175 Watt MH Bulb

Blah Blah Blah

Any CONSTRUCTIVE criticism is appreciated. This is my FIRST grow. (I know the Aero was a bad first pick, but let's act like it wasn't) I know the ballast needs to be gotten off of the ground. I'm in the process of flushing the system and the grow pebbles.

I'm using a 1,000 Watt HPS Light with a mini 175 Watt MH.

Here's some pics from day 6:

Nice growroom. Hey bud, when you putting pics, upload them direct to the site.

How does one upload direct? Sorry i'm a bit new to these forums.

When typing your posts, there's a button named "Choose File" - click it and select the file on your Hard Drive. Then click on "Add This Attachment" et voila! All you need to do then is add the pic to the text - there's a button for that too.
Woo-Hoo, I'm talking dirty techno talk, how cool is that? rofl.gif (Sorry, but I am a techno idiot and this is the first time I've ever managed to give such an answer!!)

Now then, think on! I don't trust the way you've covered the window with black'n'white plastic sheeting - its a real give away. And if the tape you've used dries up the sheeting will drop off, exposing your Grow to the world.
Just my 2 pennuth.

For my first grow i'll be growing Skunk #1/11. It's cheap and easy. Thats IF US Customs doesnt snatch my package from Joolz. If they do you won't see my around here much more pinch.gif

Seeds should be coming around some time next week. Til then i'll pop some mersh seeds into my incu and see if i can get anything to pop up.

The system is LOUD. I'll see if i can get a video of it up sooner or later.

Good idea. I'll tack them up to the wall as well as tape over the tacks. Concrete walls, so my options are quite limited.

As far as it being a giveaway, it shouldnt be a problem. I have blinds on the other side of the plastic that are closed. That should conceal it enough.

I'm not too sure, however, as to how i'm going to set up the exhaust. The window slides from the right to the left to open, and is about 4 feet tall. Aside from keeping the window open the entire time, im not to sure of how to make it work. If the window is kept open the room will freeze over no doubt. nea.gif

Well today was a busy day. This is actually Day 8, but i didnt do a thing yesterday. I got my furnace blower up (That was a BITCH! Thank God for zip-ties) and running:

I bought my TDS meter finally. It's the green Milwaukee one. Works damn nice. Was $110.00.

I bought the flange for my sun system, $10.00 from the local shop. I set up the in-line blower directly on top of the flange with a 4" clamp and some duct tape. I still need to suspend it in front of the intake of my furnace blower. Here's some pics:

You can see my Co2 tanks next to the AeroFlo. I'm going to buy a regulator with a high pressure hose for suspending the output over my plants. This should work. If im thinking logically, i should have to refill one tank per week. I have 3, so i can live with twice a month. Here's my tanks:

Here's a quick snapshot of my wire-job for my 175 Watt MH Ballast. (It works, yay!)

Starting to get some seedlings up. Out of like 40 i put in of bagseed, about 20 came up so far. Plus the 10 coming from Joolz (hopefully) should give me about 36 tongue.gif

My goal inside of the aero is to have around 20, so ill pick out the runts/males from the bagseed and keep them seperate.
Benis
Working on getting those seedlings up, I have about 30 so far out of 40ish. Here you can see my 2x 40W, 1x 25W, 1x20W Seedling section. Let's hope to see some green over the next couple of days.

I'll be making a box to fit that tray in perfectly so i can make it transportable. Have all the outlets come into one line (inside the box) and coat it with some white paint or Mylar, with two strips of two 40W Bulbs. I'll be posting that in the DIY section within the next week.

Here's the southern-rigged setup as it is now:

Haven't done much to the room, i ran the hoseline to my bathroom so i can just screw it on and turn a valve to drain it. My window protection fell down, im in the process of buying some tacks for the window cover. The hood of my 1000W HPS lamp also needs some modifiation. The way Sun System made it, is absolutely stupid. They have vents covering the area where you can put the optional flange, but they dont make it so that you can take the vents off in the event that you actually buy the flange, so i need to head up to Home Depot and buy a metal cutting disc for my Dremel. Wish me luck fellas smile.gif

Just a suggestion but id box that fan in mdf and pack with foam or bubble wrap, then check out the diy section and make a silencer.I recently made the soil pipe and bucket silencer it works a treat and cost me £2 to make(already had a piece of pipe) and a quid each for buckets. whistling.gif 908
