Full Version: Cutting Main Stem

As you may or may not have read my plants suffered from being not watered for a day.

Well, the tops of the main stem had wilted over, one pulled through, the other stayed bent, dried up and went crispy.

I got really pi**ed off with it last night and cut through the main stem, chopping the main head off. Just above the side branches.

Will it eventually split, and grow 2 heads?
Have I cut it in the right place?
What are the chances of it surviving?

Cheers

What are the chances of it surviving? you have just put more stress on the plant. i recon it will be OK tho

If things went crispy then chopping them cant hurt them anymore than already have? Expect a poor yield and dont do it again lol.gif ?

Generally what you`ve done is called 'topping' - Good way to limit vertical height..

We burnt the top of a plant (seriously) and just nipped off the damage.. it naturally grows in 2 then..
