I harvested my single White wid just after xmas, left it up to dry in usual place and waited until the branches snapped when bent, trimmed and placed in clean, sterilised jars and burped everyday for the last week or so. All of this is exactly what I have done for the last three grows but, today when I opened the jar to burp it I was greeted to a cloud of some dusty material !!! mould I am absolutely gutted my entire harvest (only 2oz) has gone mouldy in the space of 24 hours ! any ideas how it could happen ?

I have read a few warnings about smoking mouldy weed so it has gone sraight into the freezer, can I still use it to porduce some bubble hash ?

Sorry to hear about your mouldy crop, it happened to me on my last grow.

You can make it into Bubblehash no problem. The spores will float to the top of the water and the gland heads will sink.

I first tried to water cure mine before making Bubblehash

I think my problem occured because of high humidity late in flower and large colas

The plant defo had large colas so maybe that helped cause it, next grow is underway so only 6 weeks to wait and still have 1/2 oz from prev grow to see me through

When you burp, do you also stir and leave the jar open for 10 mins or so?

Sounds like nasty bad luck to me if so man

I defo stirred with every burp but have to admit I only kept the jar open for a minute or two so that will prob be what caused it

Another stupid question by me, but what are colas? I hear people say it alot on here, but not quite sure wot it means

correct me if i'm wrong, you only yeilded 2 ounces? aren't you suppose to be yeilding about 5 oz a plant with anything over a 250 hps? my first crop when i was total noob got my 7 oz from a plant with 300 watts.

The point is that you let the excess moisture evaporate... 2 mins isn't enough time.

Now you know for the future at least

sack the big cola's, chop the individual buds from the stems, stems retain the moisture , dries quicker that way too, enjoy you bubble-hash

7oz for one plant under 300w eh. i remember reading a similar post at overgrow once. he got flamed for about 2 months
