I've done a 70 watt scrog using old scavanged parts and now i have a big loft i'm going to do another. I've got much more space now and i've been reading about 150w SCROG cabinets and checking the prices i see i can get a 400watt light for a few beans more. Does anyone have experience of this size of light in a scrog??

Hi bud,

I'm using a 250W at the moment and having great results with ScrOG (if only i could get some pictures rolleyes.gif )..
Picked it up cheap on ebay.. I'd say it puts out enough light for 1-4 plants, tho' I've only got one at the moment.

Using a 400W in a cabinet, you could get some amazing results but heat could be an issue and you might want to think carefully about air exchange..

Hello wintermute,

I've done a 400W scrog and it worked fine, if I did it again I would make sure that I could get access to every side of the scrog using a modular system or movable walls etc. I did the 400 W scrog in a 3' x 3' footprint cupboard, with a gale blowing, using four plants in five gallon square containers; the plants at the back got less care and a bad attack of white fly. I would also advise using the same strain/variety first time for your sanity, I used affi, blueberry, C99 and aussie bush, so 100 % indica through to almost pure sativa, and it was a bit of a mess.

As an aside I've grown 16 plants in a 2' x 2' footprint, in 1 gallon square containers SOG, using a 250 w HPS and stadiuming and it worked quite well. But four seems more reasonable smile.gif
