Hey everybody

I have a small dilemma that needs a sparks, clever or experienced person to answer...

A good friend of mine that used to grow is giving me a light mover and ballast that he stopped using quite a few years ago. He cannot remember which lamps he had in it, so my question is how can I tell the type lamp that the ballast suits?
Also just to clarify can a sodium lamp be used in a MH fitting and vice versa? If not why?

I will not be using the mover only the ballst and maybe the lamp holder.

Thanks for any input

Best regards

there are loads of ballasts out there
it would probably be easier if you told us what was on them
SOME lamps are compatible with different gear trays(just keep the wattage the same!!!!)

philips can be a bit funny though and tend to need a philips lamp

It's all pie in the sky at the mo, said friend is bringing it all around at the weekend hopefully, I thought that there may be an obvious difference between the two. If not I will wait untill I get it and post the details then.

Thanks for answering
