Variety is the spice of life eh?

I have quite odd likes and dislikes when it comes to cannabis and prefer certain flavours. I like acrid tasting herb if you know what I mean. Haze for example is a very distinct flavour that is not to all's tastes.

I have been extremely lucky over the past year in that I have aquired two lifetime keepers for my personal tastes, exactly what I was looking for and do what they say on the tin as it were. These being a Cheese for that heavy stone and intense flavour, plus an ESB variant for that lovely hazey morning smoke. Both of these strains are sublime. You'd think I'd be happy with that eh? Stoners.

What I'd really like to find again though is a sour hybrid. A good proper, top notch sour deisel say. I had a smoke of some herb at the end of last year that truly did fit the bill. I was told it was grown by Koreans in Kent, and I assumed that through Chinese Whispers that meant it was one of the Vietnamese set ups being busted left right and centre at the time. I never did find out what it was. So the search has continued. Going by the look and characteristics of the herb, I would guess that it is an Indica dominant hybrid that likes to show off colour wise and really stinks.

Has anyone bought any beans recently of a herb that fits this description? If you have, or have an old friend that fits the bill, could you please let me know the strain and breeder please. Cheers.

your looking for a sour strain then eh?
if you like a good sativa up high then go with sage n sour by th seeds, very nice smooth smoke after it had been cured for 3 weeks ( a friend was aiming for 4 but never mae it ) however it is not just a sour somoke it also has a hint of sweetness in the taste too, so there you are 2 for the price of one in this strain, i'll be growing some in the summer next year, however i cant get a cutting so i need to fork out for the seeds,

I don't know why but I am sure that I have read somewhere (and Jason King springs to mind - maybe it's in one of the Cannabibles) that Soma's NYC Deisel doesn't have the sourness of the original American strain. I maybe totally wrong though.



Now that sounds a good'un. I have heard very good reports of the SAGE and the sour cross sounds perfect. Plus TH Seeds are a respectable seed bank AFAIK. I might be investing in some of those seeds. Worth giving a go. Cheers mate.

I grew some white russian at various times and when they get cold at night some pheno's show pink, purple and red tones in sunlight (just looks orange under hps like nearly all weed) so if cured (which yours probably wasnt as it was dealer weed) if might have started to show off some more of those colours.

Also I might like to add these colours were only present in the last 2 weeks when the calyx's started to swell so thats where the colours at.

Best thing about that weed was the stink, it did stink. The pheno I kept was a bit boring stone wise, potent but nothing to it. I could best describe the high as heavy but clear.

I'm smoking Green Devil from Tiki seedbank at the moment - sounds like it fits the bill :

It's mainly sativa but very short flowering and not too stretchy, has a distinct Diesel/lemony smell - very acrid and almost acidy, very sour. High is a lovely motivational daytime type hit - hardly any couchlock, very cerebral. Been really enjoying this weed recently, compared to the mongy indicas - no problems going about everyday life.... just that bit higher

Just finished a half g of sour diesel pollen and it really had a nice sour edge to the taste (aswell as a good sativa smack round the head!). Not tasted owt like this before, but if you're looking for a sour strain, i'd recommend this. Don't know if you can buy seeds for sour diesel tho. If not, maybe try Sage n Sour by THSeeds.
