I was thinking, Since lowriders are so small, I could just use medium sized pots right?
Well what about if I did a sea of green type grow on them, would I get a reasonable ammount of bud from say 50 plants? Also whats the smoke like, does the little plant pack a punch or is it lame? And finally, how many mothers would you think I need to have around 50 female cuts?

having taken advice on lowryders
me and mr mom have decided not to bother with them yet. apparenly they are very unreliable as to height .. one of our members has some that are 3ft tall. another had one that is about 2 inches
. also you cant clone them, and the germ rate on lowryder2 is very low

I'm day 13 on my Lowrider #2 grow. 3 out of 5 germinated. One of those was a freak.
I enjoyed the smoke of Lowrider #1 but then again, I've smoked so much granny-killing dealer skunk over the past few years I only have that to compare it with.
I did get 85 seeds off a 15cm windowsill Lowrider #1 grow. It would be the only way you'd get to do a 50 plant SOG.

I grew them for my first ever grow, easy to grow but i wasnt impressed with the smoke. Much better strains out there.
even if it was a decent smoke, you couldnt keep it reliably because you cant take cuts... and i like to keep somthing if it's nice... so no point in really having it around..

IMHO It probably only makes sense indoors if you can't get your head around providing 12 hours of uninterupted darkness per day.

Here is my 2p - as a medicinal user.
I initially was very unimpressed with Lowryder1.
Tried vaping it as normal - basically, useless.
Even tried smoking it just to see if it might be better - it just Stank and I got almost nothing out of it.
Then I had a bit of a brainwave.
I reduced the temp - way down to start - and then gradually increased with each 'pass'.
Wow! Now only need small amounts every two hours!
So... ...contary to my initial disappointment, I've discovered Lowryder is of use.
It's not great but it's an awful lot better than nothing!
I have a m8 that grows lowrider only because he doesn't have enough height in his drobe for anything else...that is the only purpose of lowrider.
You can find other strains out there that take pherhaps one week more then lowrider and are bigger yeilders, better smoke and high (speed queens, ak-47, northern lights, etc,etc). just do a search on UK420 site.
I found the smoke bad in what concerns to taste and average in what concerns to the high....and oh, you get tolerance to it pretty fast.
And...no you won't find feminised seeds of Lowrider

yes you could just use medium sized pots, but lowryder still likes alot of room for it's roots.
everyone in this thread is typical of most people i've seen talking about lowryder. if you compare it to established strains and established practices, you're likely to get this type of response. if you compare it to having no cannabis (like in the instances of those who think they have not the space or weather conditions to grow)... you'll see it's pretty sweet.
it likes hydro too. plenty room for those roots.
the tollerence thing is pretty true tho. sure made other strains seem like they packed so much more punch when switching again.
best thing i like about them is they are not dependant on seasons. meaning you can seem em sprout up, coming and going all year long!

Personally i dident mind the smoke from lowryder #1. Wasent the best no but if you havent got much choice then go for it.

want small plants go for spuds m8 , probably a better high too !!!
no really its simple , pick a full indica hybrid (1ooo`s out there) thats a top smoke & easy to grow , then just crop the tops , pinch the tips or even train her with strings....keeping her as low as you like
