...but he says he can only prescribe it for me if I can cover the cost of minimum of six months of treatment.

He cannot write an NHS Prescription for me as my local PCT will not pay for it!

He said that for him to be able to write a Private Prescription for Sativex I have to be able to guarantee that I can fund a minimum of 6 months treatment.

He said this will cost me at least £ 1000.00 every six months, and probably more like £ 1500.

So here I am being kept on Incapacity Benefit - without Review!!!

This gives me £ 3 a week disposable income - to spend on myself - after I've paid bills, bought food, and paid for my Physio (which I cannot get on HNS either!!!).

Now I am being told that I have to find a minimum of £ 39.00 a week (probably more like £ 59 a week in reality) to fund a medical treatment which I've already had on the NHS, and which I should still be having on the NHS!!!

Its bullshit mate, but whilst its total and utter bullshit, you've had more success than a few on here.

Least you have the option to buy it, even though you shouldnt have to

Sorry to hear that mate, what a load of shit that is? For £60 you could buy enough weed a week but not be able to eat/function. Growing your own is the only way my friend, there's plenty medi-users here doing it, and although it sounds expensive it's not as expensive as Sativex.

Tried to grow it at a friends place a few years back but I seem to have brown fingers instead of green ones!!!

Having said that, I have asked Home Office verbally and in writing for a License to grow my own. T
oo much hassle and problems where I live to grow without a License. Just about everyone I've heard of or know who has grown has been arrested and fined or sent to jail.

I'm right under a flight path and have Police helicopters passing over every day!

I had a 1/4 of smelly green (wrapped in 'Smell-proof bag') sent to me by a 'medical cannabis club' two years ago - it was opened by Post Office and an hour after it was delivered I had a Police helicopter just sitting 300 feet above the roof. All neighbours out looking to see what was going on. I had Police cars stopping outside the house for next month, Police jumping out, knocking on the door - I'd answer - "Hello!" from Police - then "Good Bye!" and they'd zoom off.

What a way to abuse the trusting taxpayers money!

PJ, it is unlikely that you will be given a license, better to grow your own, and thus to work out which strains are best for you, eventually you may then be able to help others too, which, really is no bad thing. Maybe try and meet with a few other growers/medi-users, local to where you live?

therein lies the problem and the solution - you knew about their grows - you shouldnt have.

likewise dont tell anyone about ya own grow, tell no one and ya fine.
