Hello!
Just a quick question,
Do you have to have the Carbon filter within the wardrobe?
>==>[FILTER]>==>[INLINE FAN]>==>[WARDROBE EXIT]>==> ATMOS.
Or, could you do it like:
>==>[INLINE FAN]>==>[WARDROBE EXIT]>==>[FILTER]>==> ATMOS.
The reason is, cost.
I could just buy a cheap Bathroom extractor fan, attach it on the under side of the roof of the wardrobe, have the spigot protruding through the roof, and the carbon filter attached to the vertical section of the spigot.
Does anyone do this?
Do you notice differences such as noise, smell, air rate/throughput?
Thanks!

Was afraid you'd say that. I'd still like to hear though if anyone does that but guess i'll have to try and squeeze a filter into the design somewhere!

aparently tho if the filter is inside it cuts down on humidity/?
if the filter is outside and blowing into it, you use less of the carbon and it needs to be changed more regularly, however i installed mine outside just now as i dont have any where to hang it so after this crop i will be able to get in there properly and hang it with some bungees

The fan n filter are to ....
1/ exchange the air
inside your 'wardrobe'
2/ neutralise/get rid of giveaway
owders er .. exotic smells
inside your 'wardrobe'

Pretty interesting. I know option A is probably the best option, but I'm suprised how many people have the filter on the outside.

If you cant fit it in your room, make an airtight box to put your filter in, put ducting from the box to your room then such air through your filter. Basically, you are just extending your grow room a little, because as you suck through your filter, more air is drawn into the box from your room. That uses the filter the right way round and keeps it out of your room. It's really hard to explain without pictures and I've got no idea how well it works but hopefully it makes sense. I'm sure I've seen a picture on one of the threads before. I'll have a look...

You could use the same principle for your set-up I think? And yeah, I know it didn't make much sense

i blow through mine, just make sure you put the prefilter on the inside to prevent the carbon from being clogged with crap

Yeah, I'm trying to find a filter... how'd you do yours? I was thinking just buying some felt (not too thick/heavy) over the pipes so it doesn't obstuct aitflow much, but stops cat hair/dust/shite.
