My first grow of "Skunk Special" is 3 weeks into flowering and all is going very well. I will be germinating my remaining 5 female Skunk seeds in a couple of weeks. I'm going to buy some new female seeds next week and wondered if any members could recomend any strains.

I'm looking for a strain that will blow my mind, is relatively easy/uncomplicated to grow organically. A strain/seed low on odour would be a bonus. I'm also on a budget so spending £100 on a pack of seeds is out of the question. Any tips would be welcome.

femaleseeds do a agreat NL for 30 notes if you goto the right supplier...got a nice range too

Joolz does a nice selection in the seedstore including packs of 5 fem beans by paradise seeds,the nebula,s pretty pokey
Dutch pashion do loads of fem seeds but they come in 10 packs so cost a bit more the good folk on 420 have some nice things to say about their mazar

tbh I would buy the regular seeds. think I'd rather spend the extra on genetics than feminised beans. but dont listen to me.

F**k it give it a go,thats wot im doing at the mo,i have always used either clones or reg seeds,and have bought Blueberry and strawberry Haze in seed form(Fem)

Feminized seeds are bull. As was said buy regular seeds and u'll get way more genetics for ur money. The fact is, if they were reliable enough to be planted straight into a SOG or Scrog everytime without the odd male then perhaps worth it for some people. But from experience this aint the case.
Anyway now i think about it, I don't think any strain i've ever grown has been low odour.

I can recommend Femaleseeds White widow
Ours all germed within 36hrs with nice taproot.
Loads of places doing White widow 5 packs and others strains from Femaleseeds in packs of 5 for £16-£20.
We got lucky Paid for a pkt of 5 and they sent a pkt of 10


Just grew the White widow and am well impressed,Nice buzzy high that fills you with energy(or at least this one does )
You can put them into 12/12 after 2 weeks veg and harvest day 55 onward.

You can veg longer but it says 12/12 can be started anytime after 2 weeks veg with the White Widow.

I've done skunk special & white widow from femaleseeds for my last 2 grows, and the widow is a far nicer smoke IMO (in fact you can see one of my colas in this months COTC which shows they give pretty good yield too ). Also havent had a hermie so far!

Have you grown any female seeds? Cause making this statement is 'bull' also....

I am growing two different company female seeds... 6 weeks into flowering today... No males or male flowers...No Hermies or bananas ....

I was sceptical about female seeds also... but as far as i'm concerned the results have been great...!!

As has been said before, Stress causes the problems....,, if grown stress free they produce good results...

Female seeds do packs with 4 or 5 seeds at great prices...

here here , there good and cheap and i still would like to sit somone down after 2 diff breeders of the same strain and them to tell me the difference.


As for dutch passion have heard more hermie stories about them than fem seed co oh yeah and there alot more expensive.

Have to say i have had my first hermie here with a grapefruit x Maroc although these seeds aint available to buy as they were for a test grow , as for the other 2 GFxMRC both girls both very very resin layden and the smell omfg and the GFxNL well there both girls two..

Girl that went hermie was sat beside my new 8 way multi block which i thought i had taped round enough to hide the bloody green light on there obviously not .

Still you live and learn.

Look I'm just talking from personal experience and having spoken to a mate who used to grow seeds in dam it just seems like a totally false economy.

I honestly couldn't give a sh*t what other people do with their money, but in all fairness ur trust in female seeds is based on 2 batches, which makes it just as invalid as my sweeping statement.

Anyway the more money spent on the cannabis industry the better so buy all the female seeds u like bud.

thanks for all the seed tips. So much choice when it comes to seeds, I'm new to this but in time I hope to grow all the strains Damn! I love my new "hobby"

femalseeds have some good stuff, I grew their Grapefruit and gave it a really hard time through neglect and it never hermied.

I've grown grapefruit from FS many times (4 in the closet atm) and it's always very good. Never had a hermy and you can buy 4 packs. It starts slow but does very well once established. Highly recommended strain.

FS has a very high reputation and equally high fem rate
