Hi folks,

Been here for a month or so now and having considered all the options, shed, garage, loft, brought wardrobe or built in wardrobe(existing). We finally decided that the best option was the built in wardrobe.

So here it is;

The plan is to reuse all the equipment from my previous grows to create a grow space to keep me happy for a year or so.

Going in here is

150mm and 100mm rvk extractors, 600w cool tube, 65l nft tank and tray with pump, air-stone and heater, variable speed fan and carbon filter to be ordered. Two twin rcd sockets to run it all.

I may split the room to have a propagating space as well, we'll see how it goes

The door above is another cupboard that will house the ballast and the ducting for intake and outake will go through and into to the loft space. The rvks are going in the loft to try and keep the noise down as this is in our bedroom.

So far I've got the sockets in, done some of the mylar (ran out thought there was more than there was left on the roll )

The outake ducting is into the cupboard above but I ran out of patience trying to cut the hole through to the loft space, I put the tank in to check it fits, made to measure

Hung the light and to my extreme pleasure its still working fine after nearly a years rest, a new bulb may be in order though.

The shopping list to complete the job is; some bungee cords to hang the rvks in the loft, may need some more ducting (tbc), jubilee clips as the ones I had have gone to the moving house fairies, something to light proof the door seals and carbon filter.

The B&W will be tidied up once I have some more and the whole space will get a really good clean before we go live. I'm fairly pleased with the results so far, excellent way to spend an afternoon, even if i'm shattered now.

The carbon filter will go directly above the light and connect onto the cooltube and the ntake will run down the back right hand side of the room/cupboard.

Getting excited now if only I could remember where I've stashed my seeds

Carbon filter installed, all holes for ducting are now cut and ready, all that's left to do is connect and wire in the fans, put in some more light proofing round the door frame and we should be good to go

No, sadly I have not found my seed stash or started a diary , but I will.

Bought some more seeds but after 10 days only 3 have showed, out of 12 Flying Dutchman's Sativa Diva Mix, not sure why only 3 but its better than none.

The rvks are in the loft hung from bungees so I'm hoping that will take care of the noise

did you germ them first or just put them into pots?
if you did put them in pots then i wouldnt write them off just yet

Cheers for the compliments everyone, T1 they were soaked 24hrs, all sunk, then put into 1" rockwool and into the prop.

Can't wait to get them in........

Got 3 seeds from last crop (only 3 seeds in whole crop in one bud?) which I may germ just to help with the male/female odds.

nice job mate well done,regarding the rvk noise,i have a tent in our bedroom with the filter in the tent and the rvk (150) in the loft on bungees cant hear a thing and got temps and humidity sorted all the time.

Well no time; job, family, life etc means very little progress over the last two weeks

Anyway after a few problems with the electrics I think I'm all ready to live

I have, 4 mixed sativas from Flying Dutchman and 3 Skunk no1(homegrown seeds) all looking a bit worse for wear, hungry and begging for light as they've been under a very dim fluro(from the fishtank) and just been feed with a touch of formulex to keep them alive. All but one is showing roots through the big cubes and they are going in, no feed yet just let them have a day on water to let them get used to the new enviroment.

The noise from the Rvks is minimal as they are in the loft but I had to get a fan controller as the intake was to fierce, like a force 10 gale of cold air from the loft! Also the noise of the air 'wooshing' into the carbon filter and through the cooltube was too loud to be stealthy.

All that's left to do is completely light proof the door, put some locks on it (children in house ) and put one of the wife old tights over the intake to stop any nasties getting in from the loft.

Well this is now becoming a diary so............<New House, new growspace>
