Just got a pair of these and now I'm looking at them thinking how do they work cos there are no instructions supplied within and I do like simple instructions (even in Chinese with diagrams)

Its probably obvious but I'm tired and lazy (did a search first but came up with loads of Medi stuff )

Attatch one end to ya lamp n the other to the roof of ya growspace then adjust the wing nuts so you can move ya lamp up n down freely.. Piece of piss mate there's nowt to it.

Apparently the way they work is that you put one of them on each end of the reflector, and then tighten the thingy up so that it appears to hold properly, and then some time after you turn your back, one of them comes loose, and whizzes one side of the light up towards the ceiling at a high rate of knots, quite often resulting in a badly smashed lamp, IIRC.

I've been usin em for the past year on 3 lights with no problems mesel like.

I bought a pair of those and theres no way I would trust to them to hold my light, mine kept slipping & looked cheaply made. Good idea in theory, crap in practice

I got a couple of pairs myself, their OK on my good reflector, but if you put more than one on a cheap dutch barn type reflector they do pull the lighter end up in the air. I've had to weigh one side down with a pair of molgrips on the top

Works fine here with a cooltube, a silverwing, and some other cannatronics reflector. I can't remember what it is though

I did have one which did exactly what you describe (lighter end flies up) but it was faulty. The local grow shop (now gone) swapped it and the replacement was fine. Still is.

Ive got a couple on my reflector which is a big fully enclosed enviro jobby with a 200w enviro in it. Works fine so far and it was only a cheapy off ebay too. Saying that all that weight stops it shooting skyward but it doesnt drop to the floor either,I recomend them personally if you dont want to make a lot of noise in your attic etc with clanky chains.

tent "guy rope" the bit that adjusts round the peg also make good silent hangers also.
and obviously adjustable

thats what i have and it works perfectly and soo easily too plus it was from the tent that i cut up to make my own grow tent so it cost me nowt after the bad reports i heard about them EZ rollers i wouldnt trust them
