No mate, it doesn't have a thermostst as far as I know.
Silly question, but have you re-checked the fuse and wiring?

All MIXVENT-TD fans incorporate 1ph 230V 50Hz, asychronous IP44 rated motors with integrated S.T.O.P (Safety Thermal Overload Protection).
am guessin the stop thing stopped it
is thread on here about wiring one

http://www.uk420.com/boards/lofiversion/in...php/t63727.htmlThe S.T.O.P device is to protect the fan from overheating and catching fire mate. Nothing to do with the room temps.
Check the wiring, the socket, and the fuse.

Unplug from mains, Then check all connections.......You may not have tightened them properly.
Other than that you need a sparky.

I use TD250 & TD500 fans, why do they need 3 core, I only use 2 core. There are 2 live connectors LA, & LB which set the fan to fast/slow speed.

Have you tried looking in the booklet that comes with the fan? As someone else has said the fan has two speeds, high and low. You connect the live to whichever one you'd like (I'd suggest LA).

If you're fan is 'double-insulated', meaning that it doesn't need an earth wiring to it (only 2-core), if your flex is 3-core, with an earth, it's a good idea to wire the earth to the metal ducting.

I don't know the fix - but he's bought one of the versions with the adjustable timer thing that switches them off after 15 mins. That's explains the 2 core, 3 core thing - just needs to know how to have it on constant. There's a diag in the other thread he mentions... I'll just pop back

'edit' et voila :

Ahhhhh the penny drops. He's bought one of the kits hasn't he? I saw one of those the other day. They're designed for bathrooms without a window where the fan turns off a set period after you turn the light off.
