ok guys its that time again and im allready on-it.
anyway just setting up my new room's. at the mo im just in my vegging room with all my stuff in here .ie pc ,decks,stereo ect. anyways iv took sum dodgey pics for u to view. this room has a growing space of 6ft x 3 1/2 ft, thinking i can veg upto 8 plants at a time in here maybe. next door is the flowering room which is not setup yet, space in there is about 8x8 foot. i could do alot more up in this attic as its massive, this room takes up about a quarter of the space avalilable. anyways iv got 1 250w light and a bagseed that im gonna start my diary off with l8r.
p.s the pics dont show the space real good it looks tiny on the pics. also been thinking of doing a web cam link so i can watch my plants from anywhere in the world .

this was agoing to be a diary but i guess i started it in the wrong place, but anyway to start my diary here is THE seed that im gonna start off with, lets just hope it turns out female. also a shot of my stuff.anyway the seed is in wet tissues now in sum saucers on top of my modem for warmth. should ov split by tomorrow night when il post more pics of potting it ect... also gonna show y'all how i set up my attic into the grow. gonna start that off when i start making my flowering room. hopfully soon...also got a 250w hps light to put up too, but im un decided just how im gonna veg yet, might do it in a big wardrobe. if not then just in this open room ,but this room will also be my pc room as well as a grow so it could end up creating issues. lets see.

and heres the light, its a 250w hps(i think) cuz it says its a SON-T. any good, its done 2 grows upto yet, probly needs a new bulb.anyway the other lite is exactly the same and will be in here soon.so are SON-T lights recommended or not??? at the mo its being very good at being a heater
p.s the seed aint split yet and i left it freezing up here over nite thinking my monitor wuold be warm on stanby but it wasnt.

ok well thats all good then steevo, i just looked at the bulb init, and its a son-t pro 250w by phillips. so if i goto replace the bulb's i shoulde get the same right. i was also thinking about using a blue spec bulb in my vegg room, but im not sure wat bulbs will go in my lite, any help would be gr8full cheers.i take it enviros wont go in there, so igotta use hps. so as long as its the same watt HPS i can use it right.oh n any idea how much a set of bulbs will be for my lights, 1xblue & 1xred, i guess i can find that out for myself anyhow...

You could use blue enviro's for your vegging area quite happily, you do know it's not safe to use a metal halide bulb in a high pressure sodium ballast and vise versa yeah? this also applys to envirolites as most of them are self ballasted

Basically any 250w hps bulb will be fine, You can get good ones from the UK420 Store for £18 - £34 and a 125 watt or 200 watt blue enviro for £20 and £42 respectivly, to be honest i'm not entirely sure which is the better bulb of the two hps i'm guessing the more expensive one

ok so i can use enviros then, would it jst plug into my lite then. dont eviros av a built in ballest or is that on the cable you use. or did u mean i could just use enviros to vegg with n use the hps to flower. anyhow i think im just gonna buy a standard blue n standard red- with 50 quid i should do it.. might also get 1 enviro for seedlings ect...anyway thanx for the replies, im off now to get sum wood fr my flower room, in-A-few

All you need is the enviro and e40 socket and either add your own lead or buy one with a lead already added, DO NOT plug an envirolite into your hps ballast!!

The envirolites in the uk420 shop are self ballasted ( the ballast is inside the white bit that the tubes go into)

ok right i get it now, enviros just plug into a lead that plugs into the wall. so they dont go into my light then. thanx for that i might ov gone n bought just the bulb for an enviro n BANG.

I'd hate to think what would happen if you plugged a enviro in a hps ballast! please don't try it as it could literally blow up in your face.

ok well i gone n bought my seeds today. i got mandalas hashberry.... cost 15 quid from the local growstore... flowers in 60-65 days...yields 400-450 gr/m2... im gonna be potting them up very soon. iv got the asbestos inspectors cummin round this week so as soon as they go i can build my flowering room. in the mean time im gonna germinate these babies pics will follow shortly...anybody done any hashberry n wat's it like....

Wicked! i'm hopefully getting some hashberry seeds around february time, we will have same lights and seeds but you'll be harvesting yours when i'm germinating mine!

its all gud steevo. i might have to wait yet, iv got asbestos visitors n they might put a halt on my plans. hopfully not but ya never know.anyways i might be doing a few more strains yet. it depends how my flowering room turns out but i hoping to fit about 12 plants in there and theres no way im gonna get 10 fems off these hashberrys ,allthough its not impossible. so yeah im gonna be doing a few more strains. + my bagseed thats germinating, as long as it splits that is... hashberry is well recommended to so it should turn out a decent grow... best of luck to you steevo.

ok heres the flower room just getting started, im using 2 doors and a board for the floor, underneath will be black vynil as a waterproof. ontop will be some board to make a smooth surface and a blue plastic sheet for more waterproof. and over the top of that im thinking carpet..... anyways the room measures at 9x6 + an extra 9x4 on the side that i could eith block off or use as more flowering room, i have about 9ft hight so its ok in that area. well heres th pics.....at the mo its got black plastic sheeting as the parimeter. yet again the pics dont do it justice but its pretty spacious.

A 250 watt HPS is all you need. Several of them are even better

Seriously though ...

80 watt linear fluorescent for mums / cuttings.

125 watt of CFLs or blue enviro for week 1 veg.

250 watt HPS for week 2 and 3 veg

2 x 250 watt HPS for week 4 veg.

400 watt HPS for flower room.

It all depends when you want to do the final repot.

I bet you had fun getting those doors up in the loft! i'll keep my fingers crossed for you that you don't accidentally put your foot through one of the panels

yes the doors did give me alot of hassle, but mainly cuz they was so damn heavy, they are solid doors. even those panels are abot an inch thick. anyway those doors are gonna be coverd with sum hardboard to make a decent surface, cuz at the mo its a door floor. il post up pics tommorow as i start to cover the floor and the walls ect. gotta make it light proof as well with black plastic that i have a roll of.this will be my 1st ever cycle grow too so it should be interesting.iv been thinking about staggering the cycle at 1 month intervals ,that way i can harvest every month eventually. but i gotta get a mother 1st, that wil be in here vegging 24/7 along with sum cuttings. duno if i have the right idea or not just yet ,but im ready for whatever gets slung at me....i hope.... yeah so i know the flowering room dont look much at the mo but it should turn out quite nice in the end after abit of time n effort.

p.s after reading composteve's post iv decided that the 250w lights are gonna be for the flowering room so i gotta get myself sum enviros i think or i need to get a 400w light for the flower room and have 1x250w & the 400w in the flower room and 1 250w for the vegging room. dunno i dont think 1 400w will be enough. i suppose a 600w wouldnt go amiss either.... decisions decisions.... i also have my eye on a big metal cupboard that i could use as my nursery or for a motherplant..... im thinking about getting my veggers into a cupboard or sumthing as the vegg room is my pc room now aswell. i suppose i could make a seperate veg room too... il decide wat to do as i do it i guess......

o.k then 2days the day i germinate my hashberrys. gonna do em like i normally do in a saucer n tissues.iv always got 100% germ in papertowels so il be sticking to it. anyways this afternoon i wil be starting that off. and im off to wilkos to buy all my accesories like compost , pots ect..... and im gonna be finishing off my flowering room as n wen i get sum hardboard....got a month spare b4 il need the flowering room so im gonna take my time n get it right....in-a-bit

right then. i now have both my lights and im ready for lift off. the sativa came down early so could have my lite bac and my bro wanted a smoke (prat) so inow have everything i need. got my radiator and fan as well as a shitload of blackplastic. also went n bought sum more seeds for the cycle... went n got SPEEDQUEENS again, as the results last time was gr8, even at 6 week .so at full maturity it should be gr8 stuff.also got sum sativa drying out for tomorow....im gonna start a grow diary as well, since this got removed from grow diarys. so i gonna end this here and start germinating in grow diarys...hashberry and speedqueens....
