I'm a bit lazy tonight, so here's what I posted in Pinball Wizard's thread, which is a variation on my standard intoductory advice

The very hardest part is knowing where to begin, it's plain sailing after that.
I reckon your first priority is what space you're gonna use, is it gonna be a loft grow, do you have a spare room, are you gonna go for a growdrobe (the kinda amount your talking, I doubt you'd need more than a decent sized wardrobe). Then you need to decide whether you're gonna have seperate vegging & flowering spaces, or veg then flower in the same space (which means fewer harvests, cos with 2 spaces you can veg one lot of plants while flowering another, and you can also keep a mother plant to take cuttings to save you having to grow from seed each time). It's best to decide on the space you wanna use first, cos then you can tailor your light, extraction etc around it.
Um, that's all I can think of for starters, should give you summat to think about (unless you've already made those decisions, in which case, I'd guess next is deciding how you wanna grow - compost, organic compost or hydroponic, each have their merits & downsides, for me compost is the best place to start, but I'm a technophobe bordering on the luddite)
You say you've got a walk-in wardrobe, sounds perfect. Next step is as I said, decide your growing medium - I always think it's better to start with compost, cos hydroponics can be a but much if you're a beginner (though I'm sure hydro growers might disagree, I'm a mud grower cos I'm lazy). Then it's lights, there's plenty of choices. Then extraction - DON'T undersetimate the importance of air flow, your extraction is every bit as important as the lights cos your plans gotta breathe. Lastly is your beans, but best not to even think about that until you've got your setup sorted. A good place to begin is have a look at the growroom design section, will give you a few ideas of what you're aiming for, and some handy hints.
