Ok so I know this is abit early as most will still have their harvest curing at the moment but i wanted to hear some people's experiences with different strains this year. Really I'm looking for information to help me and other outdoor growers decide upon strains for next year.

May i suggest that if possible people could try to include start and finnish times, yeild, smoke strength and taste and if you would recomend it or not. Also I personally found my buds to be rather loose and airy although maybe this was the amount of light, however information like this might also be useful. Really anythig that you think might help people when choosing their strains.

Anyway as I've started this I suppose i shall go first!

Passion No1

Not grown by me from the start, donated by a generous mr W

started - febuary indoors and then planted out abotu the 2nd week in may

finsihed - last week in september (could have maybe done with another week)

yeild - about 1 - 1 1/2 oz from one plant, this plant was recieveing much less light due to the monsters in the way (see mr weasel's grow)

smoke strength - not bad at all, not as strong as what i would usually buy, loads of crystals though.

taste - nice taste and smell, very different to my usual dealer weed, this is perhaps what i was most pleased with about this bud.

recomend - well mine was rather small and for it's size the yeild was a little low. However as mr W has shown this strain can become monsters!

TNR

I had 3 of these left after my main site got ripped, they had to be left quite a while before harvest, they had already been munched to almost nothing by deer but grew back supprisingly well, one turned out male so saddly this bud is seeded, one of the other two turned a really nice purple colour.

start - april indoors, late may outside

finnish - last week in september, the seeds were not fully formed so i guess it too could have done with abit longer

smoke strength - sorry stil curing will edit later

taste - same as above, very nice smell though.

recomend - I didn't expect these plants to exist when i went back, grew back from nothing. Seems like this strain is a big un, the others i had were atleast half a foot higher than everythign else (before they were ripped)

ok so there you have it, anyone else's additions would be apreciated, already starting to plan for next year as I intend to go for clones rather than straight from seed. Living in two different places means with clones i can leave them with less worry of them seeding if needs be.

peace

i grew a kc33 X Master kush, and the plant grew to about 3 foot tall, this was because it had barely any root space, and produced about a quarter ounce. the smoke was quite stoney with a lot of body feeling, but not much in the head really. not sure when it started flowering, but it was finished in mid-october. a little bit of rot. the smell wasnt very strong, but was quite sweet. the potency itself was average, not very strong, but this may have been due to the fact that it had a few seeds in it.
