Need to find a new strain to try.After hours of searching through books etc,managed to narrow it down to the hog or maybe Mazar from DP.Any thoughts would be kindly welcome.

there are both meant to be short squat powerful indicas
but have read a report on overgrow rip where someone was getting 1.8 gram a watt from the hog but you have got to get a good mother

tried them both now and mazar is the better

hog isnt as fast as made out has a lack of resin and no to little odor, full of leaf with big fluffy buds.
atm shes drying so maby hit me with a PM in a week for a smoke report.


mazar is the opposite full or trics, has a funky cleaning product smell(pinoclean), and buds yield well in 10 weeks more than 50% of the phenos have shades of purple with one being near black that one was the worst had no bulk to the bud.

btw of all seed grown DP had the second best germ rate over 90%
sensi has issues hash plant and others where disapointing hp= 25%= bad=no more $$
my own collected seed from last year had the best germ of 100% and nearly all fems

I had a sample of The Hog and it was great! Only had Mazar once at "All Good festival" and it just seemed like a strong Indica. "Mess ya up" bud. The problem I have with the hog is the taste. The books describe it as Old School but I want something I haven't had. It's that dank sweet weed taste that is good but not Amazing!
On a side note, Why is it down to those 2 strains? I think there are stronger better tasting high yielders? Blueberry?

Thanks for your time Snapcracklepop,after reading all info Owd sent me and of course your comments,gona go with Mazar.I myself had a bad experience with Sensi's Northern Lights.Out of 15 seeds only 5 germinated and ended up with only 2 females,not much to show for 75 squids.Anyway thanks again for your help.

Hi Mikeypdc,thanks for your responce.The main reason is i try to stick with Indicas because in the past i have tried different hybrids,and had big problems controling the height.I'm a bit of a sucker for a easy grow see.

This HOG was the best of four packs, there is a big variation of Phenotypes in each pack,

The HOG in this grow was transplanted from a 1” block into a Waterfarm and vegged for three weeks where it was flowered at a height of 2 ft and finished at 9 weeks at a height of 3 ½ ft total weight dried was 16 ½ oz. This particular Pheno put on flowers early and continued right up to the end getting denser and more heavy day by day.

After drying and curing the bud has a lovely orange/red tint and is full of chrystals the smoke is good not great, It's a very smooth smoke but nothing special, it has a nicer appearance than taste or effect. To be honest the taste was kind of lacking.

Thanks for your time Dopedog,came to a decision yesterday that Mazar it was,but after reading your comments am back to square one.Is there really that much difference in pheno's,if so what do you think the average yield would be per M2.

The yield in SOG is outstanding, I get 1.8 grams per watt with it. I flower clones at 10 inches and they finish around 30 inches. I flower the clones at four per square foot and yield 5 ounces. It is the best yielding Indica I have come across so far. SOG growers will be floored with the yields.

The bad news is this strain is unstable. So I recommend growers to grow out no less then a pack of seeds to make sure you get the Hogsbreath pheno. The other phenos are good but not as good as the Hogsbreath pheno. It is well worth the effort to get this pheno.

The smoke taste like hash and the high is of narcotic quality, heavy and lethargic. The buds release and foul bad breath odor when you are cutting into them. I have many friends that love foul smelling strains and they go nuts over Hog. In fact they go crazy when I run out of it, so I would call it “green crack“. This strain is the “holy grail” for Indica lovers and commercial SOG growers alike.

nice dopedog... I was tempted for the hog recently but opted for Chronic 2000 no doubt it wont be long before I encounter this hog though now....new year for me likely
