loadsa frogs, or spiders, but they'll pro bring there own problems!
so i would suggest one of them blue light bug killer things you see in butchers shops
probably find one online somewhere

Sometimes the little buggers lay pheremones somewhere like an attic where they hole up for the winter and the smell attracts them again. One of the blue light thingys should sort them out if your growing in the loft, if not spray the feckers with fly spray. I had wasps come to my shed 3 years in a row trying to build a nest and I reckon it was the pheremones attracting them back.

I'm having a problem with mosquitoes at the moment, think they must be loving the humidity in my veg chamber! Don't seem to do the plants any harm, just seems wierd to have them flying around the place mid October! stoned.gif

You need good house keeping.Keep medium covered. No uncovered standing water. All dropped/removed foliage to be removed from loft.I had bad flies when i moved into a new house once.Previous occupants were a bit smelly!!Anyway i cleaned and washed all i could with bleach.they never returned.
You don't think there may be a dead bird in the loft.
Failing that, check previous tennants haven't stuffed a dead body somewhere up there whistling.gif
Flies lay maggots , maggots need to eat to turn into flies don't they?something is keeping the cycle going.

I hate flies.

Q. What do you call a fly with no wings ?

A. A walk. wink.gif

I have had this problem twice, do you live near any fields, what happens around here is when there is a sudden cold spell the flys think 'stuff this I'm off somewhere warm' and unfortunately the nearest warmish space was my attic. I only discovered them after drilling a hole in the ceiling to hang a new light fitting and they just came pouring throught the hole, so I went up there to see what was going on and it was like a scene from a fly type horror film !!! Got a pest control guy to have a look and the choice was, 1) pay to have them cleared or 2) wait for the weather to warm up and they will buzz off, I took option 2, and they did. I f you want to kill them those insecticide blocks will do the trick about 6 for an average attic space should do it, but then you will have an attic full of dead flies - unsure.gif

I think what youv'e got are called cluster flys - they laid eggs on/in earthworms sad.gif

I would reach for the hoover! yinyang.gif
