HI everyone,
just thought id post a few pics of my new grow room. Used to be a regular poster on overgrow before it was bought down by the facist regime !! Well my new grow is in a 4m x 3m shed, with 2/3 of the shed being used for the grow and the remainder being for the lawnmower etc (as you can see, ive got my priorities right). It is basically a sealed secure room within the shed, the room is wooden panelled all around then the inside is lined with 30mm insulation, then plasterboard. I currently have one 604 grow tank with 17 Northern lights (been in tank 2 days) and i have a second tank going in in two weeks. Security is number one with me so everything is held together with security screws, the shed door is lockable and has an alarm on it then the internal grow room door is also security coded and has a second alarm. I have also just ordered a wireless ip camera to put into my grow room so that i can view my babies anytime i want and from anywhere in the world over the internet and will also have the ability to rotate and zoom camera over the internet.
Will post more picks as they start to grow.

I like your approach to security thumbsup.gif

IP cameras are great - but try to make sure you get one with the ability to encrypt the transmission, as some of the cheaper ones don't offer this essential feature.
hydroeuphoria
hadnt thought of that . It has multiple password protection and wep protection, thought this would be enough security. will have a closer look when it arrives.
cheers for the heads up cool.gif
EDIT: Just had a look at the camera specs and it offers 64 or 128 bit WEp encryption. Is this what im looking for ??

Impressive thumbsup.gif

I'd love to have a webcam on my grow... I'd really like to do a time lapse thing, but hey priorities right? Love what you've done - Might add a cam to mine at some point smile.gif

Hey man, great grow.
Just wondering: In this pic, is the black binliner stuff around your exhaust pipe to conceal light travelling down, or have you put some insulating foam around the pipe, then bagged and tied it down?

Cos if you havn't I may just have come up with a new idea for silencing that whoosh of air!

thats just to stop light leaking through the ducting, on the outside the ducting is boxed in with ply with a hole lower down and is filled with loft insulation which quietens it down and cannot be heard, if it was going to be a problem the wall of the house is about a foot away and i was going to make a hole in the wall so that the air vented directly into the cavity of the house. This was not nessesary though but was an option.

hey man nice set up but imo dont duct the air into the cavity of your house all that humid air in the cavity will give you some very very serious probs in the future also where it will come out is anyones guess ok some may find a air brick but not all any gap around floor joists etc in any room in your house and yes there will be gaps somewhere hope this helps m8 good luck

Whats a 604 grow tank, some NFT system? Looks very posh.
hydroeuphoria
its a self contained nft unit, 1.5m long and 0.5m wide, the tank is underneath and the nft tray sits on top.
i can highly recommend them !!
growing really well at mo, only been in six days though, will post more pics at 2 weeks.

Day 22 for rear tank (widows & N.lights) and day 2 for little ones in front tank, hard to beleive the ones in rear tank were that small 20 days ago ! All lower branches taken off at 14 days which i find encourages one large main cola to develop, may leave the new little ones to do there own thing just to see what the difference is (A lot more trimming probably)
Only 9 in front tank although i grow sog so can get 20 in per tank if needed.
Greetings from Dam.

WEP will secure the wireless transmission to your router.

Change the key periodically as WEP can be broken.

WEP wont secure data being sent over the internet by your router, is that what the password protection is for??
hydroeuphoria
The password setting is so when trying to view the camera over the internet, either locally or via a remote pc you need the user name and password to view the camera image.
Camera only goes into the growroom when im going away.

your setup looks great but arnt you woried about your garden tools bringing in unwanted pests and deseses to your setup
hydroeuphoria
Grow area is completely sealed, apart from air intake which has 2 layers of cooker hood filter over to keep any foreign objects out. Old grow was in a unsealed wooden shed and never had any pest/disease problems in 2 years. No garden tools are kept in the other part of shed anyway apart from mower which is always cleaned after use.
I spend a lot of time in there as well so would spot any problems before they become an issue (I hope). The grow area is kept clinically clean as i always believe prevention is better than cure.
