GOOOOD shit fellow enviros..... goood budage there mr mr.... hopefully gettin some money soon so im thinking of gettin a cooltube 250w hps, then i need extraction fan, ducting and carbon filter...will cost me around £300!!!! or i might just carry on with the enviros and diy a carbon filter all for £10??? not sure what to do ??? is it worth all the money just for growing 2 - 4 plants at a time ????

Ahh, yes - the old 'Chrismas biscuit tin with a couple of holes punched into it filled with gerbil ashes' DIY filter technique.

Depends how much you smoke really.. if a couple of Enviros gives you enough to last between grows then it's probably not worth getting an HPS.

ive 4 female lowryder 4 weeks in under 2*2oow and will show pics of yields (hopefully) but really have to do something about smell cause the room stinks already and im not sure if i can get together a proper fan/filter (130 quid) so any help is really appreciated

to be honest mate, i havent had a smoke for 2 months. was smoking every day before that for years and years ( im a painter....). was so pissed off with all this drowt shit and pure shit bar every where then was only gettin a few twigs in a draw...then that sandy glass shitty gritty weed...decided to grow my own but the sacrifice was to stop buying the shizzle and concentrate on my own grow. i used to smoke about 1/2 an oz every 2 weeks but now my tollerance will have been taken away i think that a half would last a month or more now....so big yields arent necessary here but but but....

im not to keen with all plugs and wires around the grow room for the 2 enviros when i could just have th 1 plug that would take the same electric and obviously grow bigger buds with the hps...which, the way i see it I could grow 2 plants instead of 4 to get the same sort of yield.

but then it would mean big filteration and all that kinda sit here??? i think ill just carry on with the enviros for a while then when funds are right get the cool tube and fans/carbon filters.......

Here is a pic of a plant ive just grown Easyrider from De Sjaamann Seeds under a 200watt Red Enviro.I wasnt pleased with the yield but there are other factors responsable,not just the eviro.also its my first ever grow so I cant say 100% that a HPS is better cause Ive never used one but Im gonna buy a 400 or 600watt Hps as soon as I have the cash(im a student) for bigger plants and yield but if you only wanna grow 1 or 2 small plants in a small place go for it,the buds I got from my plants where lovely to smoke and a lovely high,pure gave me the giggles evey time and im smoking 17 years,I wouldnt recomend going for less than a 200watt

first load is pretty much dry now but untrimmed/measured as I've lost my little scales. Still loads of it left though and been smoking off it for the last 5 days or so

it's very strong but not the best tasting - a slight crackling sound makes me think I should have flushed it before harvest but it's still damn good and there's loads

maybe not as much as i'd get with an HPS but enough - which is the point weights to come when I find the scales

Just want to say v much enjoying the enviro grow pics very encouraging.
Cant wait to start my own. Check out my plans....please!

Since I started this thread, Ive upgraded to a 400 watt cooltube setup which has produced some mean bud. Ive got to move the grow to a cupboard due to parranoia from the council...

Ive got 2 ladies that are due to finish in 3 weeks or so and another 2 that have at least another 6 - 7 weeks.
Im going to switch back to 1 blue and 1 red 125w enviros just cause i havent got the space in the drobe to hang the cooltube, filter and rvk along with all the ducting that is needed to route the extraction out. I was a bit worried that i would lose quite a yield but going off of the pics that hve been posted in this thread, Im not so worried.

I know ill lose a bit but if you were to see the colas on my 2 babies at the mo, youd understand my decision.

You cant beat a HPS for growing but if you havent got the space for one then enviros are the way to go....

I just bought myself a nice 125 watt envirolite !got 10 seedlings under it at the mo looking happy.Going to be converting my old fridge freezer as a grow space so have to use enviros it`s only smoke for me and i figure if it comes in less than the £200 i spend each month on green i will be happy the stuff round here at the mo is shit damp some sprayed with sugar some sprayed with sand and some with fibreglass on which has put people in hospital.I figure that i am more likely to get a tug from the old bill on my journey to collect so if i remove that risk i will feel safer been smoking since i was 14 i am now approaching 40 should have done this years ago if i added up all the money i spent on green i would prob be very upset ! well did an outdoor grow 10 6 foot high plants in the back garden chopped about a month before ready cos the law came knocking when the gf`s car got nicked they were on their way round the back of house when the posty told them i was not home too close.

this was my maple leaf indica grown under 2x250 watt red and 1x250 watt blue enviros in my drobe, think i ended up only using the 2 reds for the last couple of weeks as the temps were getting fat to hot in there
