In a moment of madness i thought id make the smallest growroom ever.

its 1ft 2ins high 1ft deep and 1 ft wide.

using a pc fan for extraction,a passive intake and 3x18w energy savers for lighting,


also ive built some baffles on the back to limit light leaks plus i will be adding a double layer or black tights material to keep out any nasties,

i know the mylar is rippled too fook but it was reclaimed from my old room.

i can feel some serious lst coming on,

this was more a mission of love rather than a serious project,

gonna be popping in a skunk specialy seedling to see how it gets on,

would be nice to see it ready for the chop.

How well do the light baffles work?

they will work well enough and the light will have to go around 2x90 bends before it gets into the box. also ive made the intake one as low as poss so theres only 1in gap between the exit and the surface,same with the extract port against the intake.
also the black tights will help filter out any more that may get in or out,

the box is kept in a very poorly lit room so there should be no hermie issues.

i shall be using yoyos to keep the plant low, just gonna train it around the box like a spiral if i have to.

its all up and running now,

plants in, ive stapled a double layer of tight material over the passive intake glued a nice new thermometer inside the door out of the way, space is paramount,

one of my fellow growers is trying to compete and is currently building an even smaller one using 4 bulbs.

maybe you can try putting a grill around the cfl, to protect the leaves?

im sure in time, you will yeild more then it costed to make

brillaint!

would be good for keeping a mother in, but i cant see it producing much bud.

It's the lack of headroom I'm sceptical about.

If it works, I may have to make something similar for a mate who's unconvinced he can grow his own.

i hadnt thought of the wattage composteverte, seems like an ideal light level,

i noticed that after about 6 hrs of action temps were in the early 30s but it was right next to my other grow thats touching 29c at the mo which probably didnt help,

i,ll move it to a more airy area hopefull to bring temps down a bit,


i was thinking about whacking in another fan for good measure,

they are only 3 quid each anyway.

having seen your creation, i am now more confindent of building my own stealth box.........

having several friends with jungles in there cupboards, and thinking i had no room for a grow...........!!!!!!!

how will you keep height down??? scrog? tip?

some serious lst mate (low stress training).

once its going i will put the pot in the corner and gradualy train the plant around the back wall of the box and then up and along again, kinda like a grape vine.

it will probably take longer to veg as i,ll be letting it fill the box first before flowering off.

i,ll be using a small pump and a tray under the plant so i can still flush the soil without having to pull the whole thing out.

judging by my space it will be like a solid green lump when its finished,

I wish you the best luck. However I would be very suprised if you managed to squeeze an ounce out of that box, I attempted a similar grow albeit slightly larger and I got around 45grams dry altogether

In the end I did a CBA and figured you can spend ~ twice as much on a full scale grow and depending on experience maybe get a return 4x as big

shroomskunk have you considered lowryder, you can get a mad cross called minigun im not sure if its available yet tho....

last time i checked i emailed needweedseed asking about minigun seeds but they only had a few left.
i was going to grow it when i had some crazy grow room plans but im going with a big one now

minigun is a cross AK47 x Lowryder, im not sure if it holds its autoflower tho
others are powerstout and masterlow they look excellent

id definetly go with lowryder

Perhaps you could try the Jungle Of Green method in there where you train the plants round in a circle then slightly upwards, I can't wait to see how this one goes.

Interesting thread. Im planning my drobe at the moment - and in my garage I have a cupboard that would be perfect, only thing about it is its size - its 70cm wide, 60cm high and 50cm deep - is this just too small to get anything decent? or could I train a couple of plants in there, and get a good buchy grow going? Should I bin the idea and just get a larger drobe?



Im not looking to produce much btw, just a couple of plants for percy (which is lucky, seeing as I cant get much in there )

Great little box mate, i love seeing these projects!

I personally think it would have been better to waterproof the inside bottom of the box, so that you could use the full space as one pot! kinda like a flowerbed rather than a pot, so that the roots grow sideways rather than down then the less hight you use for pots/roots, the more room you have to grow/flower, just an idea... what you think?

What about maybe put a couple of small hooks in each side of he box and train it to grow round!! Then use netting 3/4 of the hight of the box so that it leaves a small space between the lights and plants, you could also trim above the netting much easyier than having to trim around the lights when they get into full flower!

I really think it would be a good idea to go with somthing like low rider or the likes due to the ovious hight restrictions!
