Full Version: Better Yielding System?

SPECIAL K420
I know alot of people want to ask about yield and I also know how many factors go into the answer. So I will give you guys somthing to go off of...Grow space is about 19 sq.ft,the light will be a 1000 watt hps cool tube.I know I could grow bigger plants in the wf but I would be limmited to 8 plants. The flood and drain could hold manny more small plants in a sog.So... What would give the higher yield?

Ok out of all the great growers on this site I know someone has an opinion. 34.gif I know I screwed up posting it at first but someone could answer lol.gif whistling.gif

Well for a start unless on a mover one bulb is gonna struggle to cover your area so I would go with a smaller amount of plants cos of the light spread wink1.gif

do you think it would be better to get the light mover or would the stationary 1000w grow the 8 big enough for a serious yield? smoke.gif
SPECIAL K420
Also thought I had read that a 1000w would cover 20sq ft?Was this the very most it could cover and there for be stretching it too thin? This will be an air cooled light so it can be placed closer for more intense light.

What the dimensions of your floor space unsure.gif

If its 4.5 ft square you will just about get away with it but if its long and narrow then your light spread will not cover it.Then I would use a light mover or use 2 bulbs wink1.gif

You talk of yield so your ventilation must be up to scratch aswell or you will not yield very well at all unsure.gif

2x 600w would be better.

But you'll need good extraction and good intake as well.

Was thinking about 2 6oow might go this route. But lets say lighting, ventilation and every thing else is at its prime what would be a better producing system?

Just a thought. If you cover your walls with milar, it will help you make up for the low light situation.
