Just need some help deciding on what seeds to purchase for my first proper grow. I'm after a really ponging stinking smelly skunk variety. Doesn't have to be skunk but you know what I mean.

Would really like to get some Cheese clones but am struggling at the minute. Big Budda Cheese is on the maybe list along with AK47 . Can any body help, any ideas/information would be greatly appreciated. I looking for a up buzz rather than a couchlock stonkered.

Thanks for the info chaps although are these not all mainly indica? I'm under the impression that indica is a heavy couchlock stoned??

go for skunk no1 m8, or if you've got the extra cash try skunk passion.

Except that skunk#1 isn't very smelly - well Sensi's and Skunkman Sam's aren't ...

skunk no1 is pretty stinky although its a bit of a sweeter smell moreso than acrid, anything that is skunk afghan cross will give you a very pungent smell and still have a mostly sativa buzz.
theres loads of skunk afghan crosses about a fiew are mr nice shit, medacine man, super skunk, big bud (if you find a good pheno) heavy duty fruity.
skunks are usually pretty stable so you should definately find a fiew stinkers amongst a pack of 10 seeds.

You may be right, My current grow is much more Indica than anything I've grown before, but I had none of the "army surplus parka" pong in my front hall I had during growth in the two previous grows where I had skunks.

The buds themselves are almost always rather bland though - except one of Sensi's I still have a little of from 2002 that I can't stand the taste of - smells and tastes like a museum exhibit.

i know what you mean compo, the skunks stink while growing and are smelly when dry but smelly indica doms dont seem to smell as bad while growing but once dry and cured can have that really acrid smell that could overpower the skunks.
i love skunks and although ive tried many indicas, skunks the only strain i grow now.
theres definately a lot of stronger smokes out there but i enjoy the mellow sativa hit off skunk.
its an early flowering mostly sativa thats usually done in little over 8 weeks and stays pretty short and the seeds are some of the cheapest there are.

The few samples I've had of my Tiki mix (mostly indica - approximates to their "shulam" I suspect) have had an incense finish on the tongue. I'm looking forward to seeing how they cure.

The smell in the room during growth was quite heavily chocolate / coffee, but there was a touch of rotten cabbage for a while.

Just got some sensi skunk myself hope they turn out to be good.Will keep you posted.

I briefly grew that in the mid-90s - yep - very stinky, minty taste ?

I have to confess that at the time I didn't really like it - I was so used to the one cloneline of sweet, sativa-ish skunk#1 I was growing.

cheese the cut, BBC cheese, some williams wonder pheno are skunky, HTC skunk ibl possible true skunk? not sweet smelling like people think skunk should be but pungent dank no fruityness. heard sensi.s superskunk had some nice skunky phenos but this was back in the mid 90's, sensi seeds aren't the seed company they used to be.

yes good point, bub still has enough seeds to work with for future projects. But only god knows when that will be.

Ive grown many a strain in my time and was mighty shocked at the pong that develeoped after a short cure of Ice 'FemaleSeedsNL' didnt stink too much in flower but god damn it was difficult , had to bag like lots a times and shit , number of times been on public transport stinkin like a jamacians back pocket
