Hey people,

Just wanted to say Hi, I'm kinda new to growing , but certainly not to the latter part of the cycle......smoking. I have always been told I have green fingers ( family-tree of botanists, lanscape gardners, tree-surgeons, going back hundreds of years) and I must admit the science of it all doesw intrigue me. - So now is the time to find out. I have spent TIME on here reading through various threads, and must say some of you peeps are seriously knowledgable...do a degree where I assume some of you actually work in the profession?

Anyway, thanks for a great site, and hope to have many evenings of blazing and conversing on here!!!!

I'ma kinda sensitive chap, so please make me feel welsome? cool.gif

Cheers mate. I'm hoping so. I've got, what seems to be a well documented dilema at the moment of 250W or 400W HPS. doh.gif

What are your growspace dimensions?
Blazed24/7
I guestimate of 3-3.5 foot wide, and about 4 foot deep, standard shed height.

I was going to build myself a sealed unit to use in a spare room, but have decided against that now, as I have a brick shed ( retangle of about 15foot long and 3-3.5 foot wide ) of whihc I'm going to use the end away form the door.

plan is to use some 3" studding screwed to the walls, fill in with loft insulation , and then board over with ply/MDF.

Unsure as to weather to pay the $$$ for carbon filter or attempt a DIY one form thr threads on here. ( WHere do I get activated carbon btw?) - Not sure if I even need it if venting to the outside? - I do live ona council estate so not exactly away from other houses sad.gif

Youve got just over 12ft sq of floorspace. Id suggest a 600watt if you can afford it.

Youll need some sort of filter if neighbours are nearby.

Cheers peeps. Thanks for the warm welcome.

If I have two much space for a 400W then I really need to tone it down. I only wanna do two/four plants to start with. Most definatly going for quality rather than quantity....sick to death of the dodgy damp weed I keep paying £20 a bag for!!! - Although latley been happy with anything I can get hold of yahoo.gif

Am I OK to post pics of what I am buying at the moment ( weed wise)? - Is that against any rules or regs?

Its awful isnt it.....Its hard work finding anything anywhere in the south of UK. - All box shifters I know rather than gardners you see. Been climbing the walls latley. - Thanks for the welcome.

Not against any rules, but we prefer pics of the stuff you grow as opposed to dealer poop wink1.gif
