on all but 1 of my plants i have yllow bottom leafs, the very bottom set ov leafs, they go yellow n die off then it moves upto the next set ov leafs, not sure wat it is, im on week 4 and have plants at week 2 and 3,iv had this yellowing problem from a week old with them all (un fed) and iv just started to feed em with B Cuzz A+B soil, as the growshop dude says it for veg and flower all the way through.even if in compost, i thought that a little odd as i thought if u was in compost and transplanting theres no need to feed, but i think i have a nute prob anyway and he says its ok to use it so iv started em off on half a mil of each to a litre the normal does is 1-3 ml of each to 1 litre of water, so even if i shouldnt be feeding it should be o.k, so i need to know what u think..thanx in advance
p.s all plants are in dcent pots and transplanting from 3" to 6"&7" to 10"12",using compost from wilkos that iv used b4,and under a 250w hps temps are stable(ish) no lower than 20 lights off no higher than 30 lights on. i have no extraction just a fan circulating air,and at 1st i overwaterd em all n thats wen i got the yellowing, but iv got it since again on the youngest plants, thinking its mg or N def but im not to clued up on the nute defs yet?

If the yellowing starts between the veins of the lowest leaves, its Magnesium deficiency. If its generic on the lowest leaves, its Nitrogen or magnesium deficiency.

Some yellowing of the lower leaves is quite normal.

It sounds to me like a lack of N, which is backed up by your mention of the feeds (or rather lack of) in your post.

Usually most composts will provide for the plants needs for about 2-3 weeks then the nutrients in the pot become depleted and you need to provide them in the form of feeds.

They will pick up now you are feeding them tho. Increase the feeds gradually and you will find a level the plants are happy with. If the leaves start to curl under or brown at the tips it is a sign they may be getting too much feed.

As funky worm said some yellowing of the oldest leaves is quite normal, but not really from week 1 wink1.gif
