Orange bud was my fist grow and in 12/12 it stretched x3 and grew a few balls. for an indy it flowered like a sat dom, looked a bit like a south african strain. the other pheno was indy dom and the stone was couchlock but not very potent in my opinion, stronger than the first one, that was just crap. this one hermed a bit too.

My results are the worst ive ever seen and tbh i hope it stays that way!! Only got 2 phenos out the pack cos one rotted or somin in the soil, one was a runt, lost another seed and the others were accidentally crushed doh.gif

Orange Bud was OK. It looks nice and I think that sums it up - all show and no go.

Heya,

Old thread I no, But im planing on grow this strain next grow, So should be germing the seeds in about 3 weeks!

Anyone else tried this strain? Anythings I should look out for?

Im using a 110w fluro to veg for about 1 month, then flower under a 400w hps light for 8-9 weeks judging from what some people have said. I wll have venting sorted out by then as well. Og and ill be grow in compost biggrin.gif

Are these a difficult strain? As im still new since this will be my 4th grow ( by the time the ones that are flowering at the moment finish.. )

Tar!

I started off by having 4 seeds, I had terrible time germinating them from my bad water. I then switched over to RO water and used 4 more seeds and all but 1 germinated.

Got 1 female out of 3 seeds.
Was a very fast growing plant, needed little care, but if stressed will hermie.
In vegtative growth they grow very tall, I toped after 3 weeks and became a very tall bushy plant. Very easy to grow, this is a great strain if you want to grow SCROG. I did not SCROG but i trained and pruned her to have an even canopy without a screen.

After 3 weeks I toped and then the last week of veg,(veg time 6 weeks) I took string and tied it to the 4 biggest branches and pulled them down for a bit to allow the light to penstrate the inner canopy, thus allowing the middle to catch up for a even canopy.

I kept strings on till harvest which, Which I really did not want to do as the longer they are tied in place, the more the plant depends and will not hold its own weight up.
the result was a very nice even canopy.
I had to move while flowering so moving her around and retying her kinda stressed her out towards the end and the result was only 3 seeds.
If you want a great scrog strain with easy to grow and dont require a high amount of nutrients, this strain is definatly for you!
BUT, this strain will hermie if stressed to much, not a strain for new growers.
I got 3 1/2 oz from her under 400 watt HPS. Odor level was very skunky and mixed with skunk and citrus smell. You definatly need odor reducing if you are going to grow this strain, and I only had 1 growing.

The only problem is get cotton mouth kinda bad. eek.gif That is the only complaint I have about the smoke.

I have no complaints about the growing of this strain other than it hermies easy.

Medical growers will like this strain as it helps ease body pain and nausa.
The smoke was very smooth and easy on the lungs. I did not even cure it yet, just waited till it was dry enough to smoke to test it out!
The buds did shrink about 50%, has alot of shrinkage in this strain, but overall , a solid strain.

Hmmm i found dutch passions OB to be quite a woody/musky smelling weed, not really fruity or that nice tbh. It also had rather loose buddage & went for 10 weeks before it was ready.

My avvy is an OB from a few yrs ago, nice yeilder decent high but was never going to stay as part of my strain stable. yinyang.gif
pacman?
any tried the royal dutchmans orange?

*bump*

I'm growing this at the moment Standard Dutch Passion Orange Bud, I'm reading that this stretches quite after around the 3 week mark of veg and topping is a must as it grows well large... Mine at the moment is tiny, under cfl's mind you but still, never had a problem with stretch.. The smell also coming from my drobe is something most really would love to wake up too hehe...
Im thinking is it worth going maybe 5 weeks veg and then a good 9weeks flower, accounting the week for it to go into flower, i dont count it really till there is at least a bit of a bud growing, thats flowering point, until then its still in veg to me..

Also has anyone else grown this recently? possibly with good results?

Just wondering if the hermie situation on these seeds had gotten any better, Cant be doing with gettin to 8 weeks then seeds appearing everywhere, that would just piss me off to the max...
