[attachmentid=91597][attachmentid=91596][attachmentid=91598]Help cry.gif
Finally got some piccys. I got 2 on the go but only one plant seems to be suffering. I'm in 4th week of flowering, started feeding them about a week ago cos I noticed a slight paleness to the base fan leaves...
Gave them 5ml of bio grow over 5days to see if it perked the one really pale plant up, but it seems to be spreading up the main fan leaves sad.gif Was doing so well..........Could it be magnesium? If so what are the proportions of epsoms to water?

Pleeze help, Ms Powerband unsure.gif
powerband
Thanks Bish
Would it be okay to mix the epsom up the night before, if its best to use hot water?
Or is it like plant food i.e.....best to be mixed just before you use it?
And finally, can you only use it on its own or can you mix your plant food with it as well? Your help is appreciated wink1.gif

Just add it to a small amount of hot water, just enough to dissolve it, then add that to your watering can with the rest of the water/food. wink1.gif
compostverte
Depending on the breeder there's always some variation between seedlings. Do the plants look different in other ways ?
FunkyG
Hi pb, You should add it to your feed. What I do is boil some water and put a small amount in a bowl. Add the salts and stur until disolved. Once disolved I add the water to my main watering container and mix the normal feed in with it then top up with cold water which I find results in a room temp mix once done.

Works for me! thumbsup.gif

Right will give that a go tomorrow morning, as to differences between the plants Composverte, no the only difference is that the smaller plant is a lovely dark green and looks very healthy. The poorly plant which is a bit bigger had more nodes/branches taken off around the base. But the buds look the same.......learning all the time unsure.gif

increase your feeding a touch mate looks like all the plants are alittle under fed.

Sorry no pics to show 34.gif big clean up = lost older pics smoke.gif
powerband
Right, fed that greedy thing and pepped it up with epsoms, well, done both at the same time, might as well cool.gif I cant believe how quickly the main plant deteriorated, a sort of overnight thing 34.gif
Mind you so far (touch wood) these look like my best yet but then I,ve only got two crops to compare with, but we live and learn whistling.gif

Thanx again chaps... Ms Powerband wink1.gif

Wish I could get some piccy up again! Fed them gals, had their epsoms but still got a prob with the one main plant. I have looked through the search but cant seem to find a really good example of nute burn. I've reached that point again when I dont know if they are over or under fed sad.gif This happened in my first grow and I had such a mixture of advice off "friends" I think I eventually killed the poor bugger cry.gif
If any one has a good straight forward piccy of nute burn I would appreciate it.......I have looked so pleeze dont think Im lazy.....I just need a good comparison........

Thank you Ms Powerband sad.gif

Owderb
It looks to me as the plant is lacking in Nitrogen hence the lower leaves going completely yellow wink1.gif

i have not got a pic of nute burn but your plant looks the same as mine a part from all my fan leafs r yellow, i no i over fed my plants hench the yellow leafs now i am thinking it could be nute lock out. how fast is she yellowing?
powerband
Yellowing very quickly but they seem to have what I first thought was a fungal infection. Its not fungal I know that, but besides the yellowing leaves at the bottom ,leaves halfway up seem to have brown/tan? scar marks on them. Almost like birth marks actually.......gonna pull my hair out soon cos I dont know which way to go? cry.gif

powerband
Buds are fine, gonna take a chance here and wake Mr PB up and try and get some piccys up, cos they're not rusty almost mottled witha blackish line around the affected areas. Have to be watered this morning so wish me luck in waking up the "photographer" whistling.gif
Will get back with pics asap............thanx

It looks fungal to me.

Have a read through this thread.
powerband
If it is fungal why hasn't it spread to other plant? And can you spray a plant with Bio-life 5 weeks into flowering?
Dont like the idea of spraying the buds pinch.gif
Thanks Bish

Ms Powerband sad.gif
Bish
If it is fungal, which it looks like it is, it won't be long before it does spread. Seeing that you're 5 weeks into flower i'd just let them finish, & then after harvest give your whole room/s a good clean to try & eradicate spores.

Hi, I noticed in your profile "Still working on ventilation"... I believe this is the problem, I too had a similar problem (rust spots that is, fungal like bish mentioned)... just get a osc fan in the room, dont have to face the plants but keep the air moving. stale air=problems.

from my experience most of the bottom leaves turned yellow, it turned out ok and seems normal, but not in early flowering. Do not foilar feed in flowering as you increase the chances of getting mold.
powerband
Thanx everyone,
I dont think its stale air as Ive got fans in the room now and extraction. I have noticed one thing this morningand that is the rh. Its seems to have been steady at 60% for over a week now. I know it should be lower at this point in time, so could this be helping the fungus? Would a dehumidifier be the answer? This would take it down surely, that is if that is the problem 34.gif
I always lose my fan leaves, and I dont know where I'm going wrong. I know experience is the only answer here, but it's so deflating. I thought these babes were doing okay pinch.gif 5 weeks into flower and BANG it all starts going arse up! I even found yellow tips this morning on my best girl !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just makes you wanna scream and scream till your sick!!!
Am I alone on this long learning curve or does it happen to everyone when they're in their first year of growing? Sorry for rambling, just a bit peed off sad.gif

Some of us who've been doing it for years (albeit intermittently in my case) - come a cropper once in a while. In my case in this grow - thrips; light leaks - stealth bananas - seeds; bud rot; and what looks a bit like virus in my most troublesome pheno .. but the harvest will still be sufficient to guarantee normalisation until the next harvest.

That's a key point - 14 weeks from seed to harvest guitar.gif out in the garden you have to wait till next year.

Growing plants close together in a cupboard is a particular kind of challenge.

One thing I've just discovered is "staggered fan stacking" nerd.gif .. it seems hot moist air can be reluctant to rise above hot reflectors so I now have a fan at lamp level blowing upwards.

I appear now to have the beginnings of a draught from the intake at ground level, up through the foliage ...

60% is about right, Plants don't like low humidity, it stunts growth. Although anything higher than 60-70% does increase the chances of mold during flowering. If you are hitting 80-90% then I would say get a de-humidifier, but you should alright.

I wouldn't worry too much about the yellowing/dead leafs either, I read a majority of plants will do this in late flowering, so it cant be helped, yinyang.gif
mr_green01
donnt worry ms powerband your plants look a lot better then mine at 5 weeks so not all bad wink.gif
powerband

wink.gif Thank you all for your help and encouragement, they would have been on the compost heap if it wasn't for "you lot" at UK 420. Just gonna try and keep them gals hanging on, cos I think they've got 3/4 weeks to go. Somehow I will keep them " bitches" going!

Mucho appreciation Ms Powerband wink1.gif

I didn't really have a clue what I was doing for the first 4 grows. Got lucky on the first two, burnt the hell out of the third crop as I sprayed it just before lights on doh.gif and the 4th crop got pythium. So no you aren't alone smile.gif

Oh and I think my outside Grapefruit has some fungal infection now as well - hell of a year for trying to grow outside sad.gif Plants you think you know have a tendency to bite you on the bum wink1.gif
