Hey all just working out a scrog grow for next one and was wondering about the strain....

Are all strains good producers under a scrog....?

What should I be looking for when choosing strain for my scrog anything different to if I was growing normal? am I best with sativa or indica or does it not matter?

anyone got any recommendations? I was thinking of Chronic....

I personally haven't grown chronic so couldn't say if this is a good scrog strain or not. A good scrog strain should be a branchy, flexible type plant. Got a feeling that chronic isn't like this tho, as I am sure I remember seeing someone told not to top a chronic, altho I am probably mistaken on that.

anyone for any recommendations then....a good flexible branchy strain which will react well to being topped......?

is that from experience mate or just gone off the traits I said above?

I thought big bud was a sativa just like Chronic was....now I am stuck between the two

I am concerned with yield and was under the impression Chronic gave off more.....

yeild is as much to do with the grower as the strain.practise good growing techniques and the yeilds will look after themselves.

thanks Bish! I have come to the conclusion then that I would be best going for a mixed strain at about 60/40 sat to indica....seems this is a good mix of the two...now Im off to find this chosen strain

was going to grow from seed and was wondering what the negative things are about doing this....is it just time consuming removing the male from the net or is there more to it than that?

when should I first train em to start growing along the net? couple of weeks before flower or.......?
