Depend's what sort of Stength your after, Strong Indica Couchlock or Trippy Heady Stuff Haze etc.
Most Indica's if left to finish properly eg: Afghani#1, Northern Lights, Big Bud. etc.
will take longer than 7-8 wks...Your looking at 8-9 weeks then drying time of course.
Also if your planning on growing from seed then all the plants will finish at slightly different times
as seed crops contain many different pheno's (Genetic Variances).
So..If you want them all to finish @ the same time and quickly then you should get some 'Big Bud' or
'Afghani'.
Grow say 10 seeds and two weeks into 12/12 select the best Female and take your cuttings.
These cut's will be exact clones of the parent plant and all finish exactly the same time.
Choose your Parent plant/Strain carefully...and remember you get what you pay for.

These are F2 seeds made from the best females and males of Apollo 11. The Brothers Grimm are the originators of this strain and it has gotten a lot of good reviews over the years. It has a better yield than C99 with a more mellow giggly type of high. Here is what is said about Apollo 11.
This indoor hybrid has a high calyx/leaf ratio & finishes flowering in 7 weeks or less. Our big-yielding, lemon-scented female clone named "Genius" because of her CLEAR, energetic, thought-provoking high was crossed with a robust Cinderella 99 male to create Apollo Eleven. Expect some variation among individuals. The best females are short, heavily branched plants with multitudes of dense, resinous bud sites - perfect for SCROG. The smoke has a sweet citrus flavour. The high is UP & HAPPY.
The picture up top is a few buds on one of the females. It does have a very mild tropical fruit smell. It smokes smooth and has a great high. I think you will be very happy with this one.

i'm currently smoking armegedon,the grower had stash issues so flushed her at 45 days,for 5 days then chop.
the result is suprisingly strong.
so nice,in fact,i'm gonna have to give her a run....
armegedon is my vote,just on that.not smoked early chopped weed as strong for a while.

Clones are quicker, so maybe the flowering rates are indicated for clones, maybe in hydro...?

Nah they try to get you to buy by saying it has a short flowering period
Got sod all to do with hydro or clones
And clones are only a tad quicker in some vars anyway
