I've never been a fan of Nintendo consoles at all, but a mate who likes all things console paid me a visit with the new version of the Nintendo DS (ds-lite) & i have to say i was blown away!

Voice recognition, touch screen much slimmer than the original DS, loads of cool tricks...
His daughter loaded a game that had you blowing up balloons.....just by blowing at the console!
It has built in Wi-Fi
2 Screens
Didn't get long to play with it...but from what i saw its blew me away!

Clever stuff, makes the old gameboy look a bit sick.
I may even treat myself!

my missus just bought one today with both of those brain training games and she hasnt looked up or asked me a daft question since, Well worth the money.....

There seems to be some good 'proper' games out for it as well, Mario Kart DS and Resident Evil being a couple that I would definatley consider if I could wrestle it off her... Quite a lot of quirky jap titles that look worth a look too.

We She couldnt get a pink one (thank god) but I think she wants the pink carry case & the pink stylus....

Weve got three DS's in our house.Two for my boys and one for me....wireless battles are fantastic fun especially in mariokart.
And last week we got New super mario bros.......the first 2D mario since super mario world....and it is brilliant.
I cant recommend them enough,,,,,and if youre into chess or stratetgy type games then check out Advance wars DS...but be warned its a little addicitive
