hi all, i found some high quality bell shape storage jars with air tight lid, but they are plastic. (thick plastic mind)

how would these differ from their glass counterparts?
Thanks, bob yinyang.gif

Seriously though I certainly don't go for the recycled pickle jar option - I have an old jar of skunk I was keeping to see how it changed long-term and it's picked up a marmalady tang doh.gif

Acrylics to my nose sometimes have a wiff about them, but if they're food-grade then I suppose it's OK.

I personally wouldn`t think the plastic jars in your pic would make any difference to curing. They look quite heavy duty and judging by the large clasp on the side are designed to keep any product well and truely sealed air tight, unlike some of the cheaper plastic ones i have seen around.

I use those cadbury's roses tins, the 2.2kg ones, theyre fine, (obviously not see-through) anything thats pretty airtight works. only problem i can think of is glass and metal stays pretty cool, an i bet sticky weed will stick easier to plastic, so youll have to clean them more often thas all..... so basically, i recon No Worries mate!

why dont u just use an extra large coffee jar, or a tub of that bodybuilders milkshake shit. just make sure to empty the contents first

Dunno bout dem jars but every placcy container I've ever looked at had a rank smell that I wouldnt want anywhere near my buds.
Glass is the way.

Hey guys,

Dunno if it helps but someone on here directed me to Tesco's and lo and behold they do an airtight, metal clasp range. The ones I bought were about 20cm high, glass, good seal. I looked on the net but the proper ones were too expensive at the mo, and its the first time I've cured as you all recommend it. I paid £1.75 each, not bad to learn with........ cool.gif

Hope it helps Ms Powerband wink1.gif
