Now excuse me for my memory loss, but the last time i read about this was a long ass time ago..
Now what im lead to believe is that stable strains show less variation...Im not sure of the rest.
But im pretty sure a lot of f1's do still have a lot of variation in phenotypes.
Is this due to the strain being labelled an F1 incorectly (say just being a cross of afgani with say sensi star)
just a one of cross, no inbreeding or backcrossing, to make the offspring uniform???
Or is it due to the plant just cant decide and adapt to the different genes-(say like a full sative crossed with a full indica) where even if the offsping generations are inbred somewhat, they still cant decide and get a 50/50 balance and therefore show variation...??
What exactly does it mean for a plant to be stable?
Also a few side questions-
-Would a stable strain such as northern lights, skunk or maybe c99 show more of their own phenos in offspring than say a "good" yet unstable strain its crossed with.
Ps- im also unsure now whethor blueberry is unstable or stable, it took a lot of time for DJ short to work on it, if its unstable, why?
Too many q's i know, but i really want to learn as much as possible on this.
Thanks a buch for any help.
