they come in every year dont they, funny thing about the homebase ones (for me neway) i bought LOADS of them, and i found that many broke after 1/4 of a grow and some were ok for multiple grows, most strange 
even in holland - i believe - praxis , for only 2.50 euro
they really look like they could be usefull in small cabinet grows...

i've had loads but never one that oscillated before .....it didnt really say on the outside either ....i just thought that i was getting a big plastic clip with a 2 speed fan as normal ......

we're an easilly pleased bunch eh
from what i understand, normal `household` fans are not designed to run for the lengths of time required in a grow room.
Ive read about household fans even being responsible for causing fires due to the fact they are not designed to run constantly.
I use an 8" bionair industrial fan,only cost me £45 but its designed to run continuously and shifts a lot of air,only drawback is they are slightly noisier but if your room is tucked away this shouldn`t be a problem.
Well worth $45 if you ask me!

been using my 7 inch desktop fan for 2 years solid, not a moan once.
i would imagine fans were designed with heavy / prolonged use in mind
little face fans and the like will burn out in a day, but as i say desk fans have to meet wiring regs and eu crap.
