i have got a TD-160 extractor fan in my growdrobe and i tell you what the noise is really doing my nut in 34.gif
sooooooo....does anybody know of away of building my own 100mm extractor fan silencer?
im on a really shit budget at the moment and i can afford to fork out £50 or £60 quid for one and i cant really build a box for it as i dont have much space.

any advice would be helpfull.

If you have a look at half way down that page you'll see a pic of my drobe - it's v. quiet indeed. I still wouldn't want to sleep in the same room as it, but it's only about as loud as the fridge. smoke.gif

I have sectioned off the top part of my drobe, hung the td-160 on bungees and covered the thinnest back wall with a black foam ceiling tile to deaden the noise, and there is a velcro'd removeable panel for access and to fully seal off the front. It sucks through a DIY Panel Filter and expels into a funny shaped box to the baffle the rushing air noise. I'm sat here right next to it as I type and if something else makes a noise like the radio on quietly you just can't hear a thing. We have lots of folks over sat right next to it and they never seem to notice wink1.gif
