High everone,

This is a quote from Wikipedia:
QUOTE
Charas is made by rubbing ones hands through the flowers and is long, tedious work. The resin sticks to ones palms and by the end of the day one has harvested perhaps 8 or 9 grams of charas. The faster one works the lower the quality of charas. Hence to make 'cream' it is necessary to go very slowly and it is only possible to make a few grams a day.

I'd be really interested to know if anybody has tried this or knows anything more about it. yinyang.gif

Never tried to make it but I've always thought with that stuff no matter how clean your hands are to start with by the end there will be a lot of sweat mixed in with it, plus you are rubbing good trichs off your plants , I reckon youd be better off with bubble bags

the people of north india traditionally make charas by hand ,the harvest starts about sept

if you go to himachal pradesh its possible to join in and help the locals make this hash....its reasonably easy and very cheap to buy a field of ganja (once you have made some indian friends and spent some time in the area)

Hi Chrystal farmer,
Elvis is right,as bubblehash is purer than charas.I've never set out to make it but I have made it by virtue of helping a friend manicure a rather large crop. You have to stop every so often and rub your hands and fingers and this soon produces a nice little nugget for 'laters'. yinyang.gif

Check the post by Cheese Farmer, the art of making charas is practiced in Northern India, Nepal and Kashmir. You really do need quite a few plants to do the job proper wink1.gif So it's best to do it with the boys in the know and the fields to do it.

Personally, I'm a bit of a dab hand at the art but only through cutting my teeth in Himachal Pradesh.

Finger hash, as Dr R mentions is of the same ilk but not so if you know what I mean. Finger hash is generally accumilated through too rigorous a handling and as a result is not the same. Plus the starting material is totally different.
