hi

when i use the smileys i am getting a runtime error "a runtime error has occurd,do you wish to debug ?"

"line 291" "ERROR-object doesnt support this property or method"

anyone had this before ? im not to bad with pc's but this is a new one to me.

have looked on the net found the odd site, one asks to replace the pksocx.dll file in system 32.

but i cant find that dll in my system 32 on xp home........... sad.gif

any experts out there ????????

Hi mate, i could be wrong, but it sounds to me like you have some sort of programming software installed on your PC, and it is trying to tell you whatever you are looking at(ie web page) has some sort of error in the program code, and it is asking you if you want to debug(ie fix) the problem with the software installed on your PC.
The software could be anything, but Microsoft access is a common one, hope this helps, but like i say i could be wrong so if anyone else knows better, feel free to correct me

not using a 'doze system... but arent runtime errors down to a dodgy script, java etc?

if you get xp set up you may need to log on as an administrator to see the dll you mentioned,
windows knowledge base would be a good place to check for the error message
you should have a non corrupt version of the dll on the xp cd... that is if it's a system dll
if it was installed by a nonwindoze application then you may have to re install the application

well iv'e uninstalled access and done this in piccy , and hey presto its ok now.

thinking about it i installed a copy of office xp enterprise edition(pre release) and it was about that time i had the problem start...
