I've heard that Sativa gives you more of a Up 'head high' while indica gives you more of a Down 'body high' sleepy high, and of course hybrids of the two have combining effects. I was just wondering what your opinions are on each.

I was looking at DP Blueberry for indica, and the Destroyer looks pretty good for sativa. What are any of your recommendations? this is indoor hydro setup btw ~10x10 foot (3x3 meter)
Yoda Indica
blueberry is mostly indica, but still is very sativish..
for indica i recommend Afghani#1 from senis seedsor double afghan slam by reefermanseeds
soma has a nice calming strain called lavender , and nirvana's K2 is mo9stly indica, with very strong couchlick qualities.

as for the sativa dept.... i donnu.. i myself have several strains of wich blueberry as well.
Blueberrry has strong anti-depressant values....

i hope this all doesnt confuse u

I've never really known what i've smoked in the past, i can judge quality pretty easily, but who can't. I guess for the most part indica is more popular and readily avail. I was just wondering if the Sativa plant really does give you an uplifting energetic high, and if so how is it?

It can be a much more paranoid high, and can have your heart racing. But, it is actually a "high" rather than being "stoned". Good visual effects - it won't help you sleep! smoke.gif

whats up dudes. Just wondering what outdoor strain I should get? Thought about getting Early Durban(for its early harvest, nice yields), anyone know the thc content? Maybe a sativa. I know I want good yields and something potent. Sensi seed outdoor mix 40pack and a potent other strain.. like haze or something. got the munchies so take er easy.. yinyang.gif

For an indica I'd recommend White Russian from serious seeds, it's not a pure indica by any means but it does display mainly indica traits ( low stretch, fat resinous buds, wipeout stone, etc. ) .

For a sativa variety I'd probably go for either one of the many Haze crosses or something like Kali Mist .

only thing i can add from experience is that sativas stretch like f**k ...............in middle of building new flowering room 34.gif ......man they can go rofl.gif

All depends what you wanna do with it. I usually smoke alone or for insight and consciousness exploration so stick with the indica, 'cause it lets me sit down and just think for hours. Sativa, I find, has me up and laughing, more of a "party" drug, although the very word makes me shudder. Drugs aren't toys, they're tools (to me).

Two sativas I've had my eye on:

Caribe, from Cannabiogen is a Jamaican Blue Mountain (Jamaican Blue Mountain x NL.Haze 5) which sounds v. nice, and has been bred esp. for the sativa characteristics

Also, Malawi 99 from Afropips, a cross of authentic Malawi Gold (not wild) with Cinderella 99

In fact Malawi Gold and Cinderella 99 themselves might interest you, for very "up" buzzy psychoactive highs. Cinderalla 99 is said to be an easy grow, and compact for a sativa strong plant.

The other strains I have my eye on are Leda Uno, from KC Brains (up and buzzy) and Thai Lights from Dr. Atomic (a Meao Thai x NL/Haze)

Plan is to go for a scrog on all these.

Any comments on the strains above from anyone?

Aye, that'd be my addition to the thread - indicas generally = small, fat, compact, shrub-type plants, while sativas generally stretch, or at least grow tall & thin. Personally, I'd not grow both together, cos with the lights high enough to not burn the sats, you gonna stretch the indicas or end up with a poor yield cos the lights too far away. Though obviously you can raise the indicas instead of lowering the lights. Which renders my post utterly pointless doh.gif

I'll get me coat. Just prepare for the plants being different heights, and so having to alter the heights for best light coverage.

D'oh, and I've just noticed you're planning to scrog, so ignore me totally bag.gif

I think I've consfused people by going of a tangent in someone else's thread... rambling about lots of nice different sativas

I think we started with a "sativa or indica" question...

So to answer, my two cents is: SCROG some sativas
