Evening all...

I remember way back when I was at school a friend of mine offered me some weed and told me it was orange bud...ok i thought must be called that cos of the orange hairs on it, which I had seen before on bud i'd bought...

Anyway when I sparked a doobie of it I was pleasantly surprised cos it actually had a tangy taste just like an orange!....mmmmmmmm lovely.

So my question is which strain would this have most likely to have been, obviously I've read the strain reports and have narrowed it down to Dutch passions Orange Bud, Flying Dutchmans Royal Orange, and theres another out there called California Orange...can't remember who by...

Anyway which is the most likely to really taste like an orange which is what i'm after..

Cant comment on the strains you,ve mentioned,But i am growing jillybean at the moment which is reckoned to be very orange tasting.
Their nearly 5 weeks into bloom and they do smell very fruity,I,d say a mixture of orange and pineapple.
A lovely whiff and no mistake

I've grown Californian Orange but there was no orange component in the bud flovour.Well,not in what I grew anyway.

sensi seeds cali indica tastes very strong orange/citrus very very nice and fast too.

i grew cali-o a couple of years ago & it was nowt to write home about

Yep I had a feeling the california orange was probably referring to the hairs that grow on the bud...

Sooo that leaves flying dutchmans royal orange and dutch passions orange bud...hmm still no clearer

Hmmm tricky don't know what to choose out of Dutch Passions Orange Bud and Sensi's California Indica...

I've read some grow reports and people seemed to be saying the dutch passions tasted earthy with a citrus undertone, not sure I want earthy although it's been reccommended on here...

Anyone grown both?

yes california indica is the one to go for stand on me its one of the best tasting strains ive tryed, fast, very high yeild and that taste. ive got dutch passion orange bud growing now its ok but no cali indica check out sensi seeds forum.

i tried orange peel on the cure .... put the peel in fresh but had to let it air daily until all the moisture was gone , then left sealed for a couple of months and the buds tasted and smelled like oranges ..... mmm

buds were only mediocre too

I've grown Dutchmen's royal orange (the original real cali-o sativa x skunk #1, both by Sam the Skunkman who created both skunk # and cali-o) and I'm growing jillybean at the moment. They both actually smell similar. I would highly recommend both for the orange flavor (they smell like tang/oranges with a bit of sweet skunky smell there). Can't go wrong with either. Here's jillybean with a few days to go.

not too keen on weed that has been cured for a while with any peel it adds moisture too the weed and i dont like the taste however i smoked orange bud by dp that my mate grew and that tasted nice werent too potent though , pineapple flavoured weed always seems too taste nicer and be stronger
