Hi all,

I have recently purchased a 5" intake fan to bring temps down. I was using a pair of old tights stretched over the outside end of the duct but the airflow was severely restricted, especially in the rain.
Does anybody have any ideas as to what else I could use?
I am currently running without a filter, airflow is great, temps are spot on BUT, who knows what nasties may get into my secret room cry.gif

Cheers

Black cooker hood material doubled up? I use it on my vents without too much loss in air flow, still some tho whistling.gif

There is special material used to filter A/C units, it is like felt or something but allows great airflow. You can get a small replacement filter for a small portable unit which is cheap. Then you remove it from the frame and cut out a 5" shape and place it over your intake. If it blocks too much air then it may be too thick and some precision horizontal slicing may be needed.

Good luck.
