I have a feeling that it is down to curing but i want to make sure. I am on my fourth crop now and the weed i have grown so far smelt amazing when it was fresh, once dried it had a pong from a distance but hold the bud to your nose it smelt like cut grass croosed with a faint whiff of weed, the high was okay and i wasnt dissapointed as in reality i had ounces of free weed but i would have been pissed if i'd bought it. Will the curing process improve both these factors or is it down to the growing of the plant itself

Hell Yes - Curing is a must for nice weed.
Even a 3 week cure is better than nothing, however 5-6 weeks and you'll get nice weed, with a nice smell.
1: Chop
2: Trim off fan leaf's and any other leaves that DO NOT have trics on them
3: Hang for 2 weeks OR wait til you can get a "clean" crunch when you bend stems (do not jar if no snap)
4: Trim bud as close to the bud as possible, leave some on with trics though (use the trim for hash)
5: Put weed into a air-tight container (mason jar with metal clamp are best)
6: open lid once a day for 10-14 days, then store it away for 3-4 weeks.
7: Smoke & mong out.
