Mr g
For my latest grow im using an Gro-Tank GT604 and was wondering what the ideal amount of plants to be put it there.
MDP
Would depend on whatever style of grow you fancy: ie sog/scrog & the veg time your prepared to give`em, oh and how many cuts you can have rooted in conjunction w/ each other. biggrin.gif

I`d go for 6 - 8 and scrog the lot.
Mr g
well im getting fifteen cuttings on wednesday that will be all rooted and ready for sticking them in the system straight away. I've also got a smaller version of this tank as well. is the scrogg method when you just stick them into flowering as soon as you get them, don't really understand that method much..
MDP
No, that would be a Sea of green, where you fit as many plants in as is viable, this requires less time as the floorspace will prefilled with plants, basically the only pruning done is to take 2ndary off to form main cola`s, whereas scogging you top and train to form as many 2ndar shoots as poss.

Best get back to the wifes tortilla de patas beofre its cold! biggrin.gif

I used a Dual-Flow system for my first NFT grow which is of similar size to the GT 604 and I would recommend no more than 8-10 plants grown in a sea of green style. Even this amount will be a bit of a handful to deal with, especially if (as tends to happen sometimes), things go a little "pete tong" at some stage through the grow.

Might be best to pick the strongest looking of your clones and go with them. Its what I would do anyway.

Good luck yinyang.gif

I have used 604s on several occasions.

I have grown 4, 6 and 9 plants to a tray. IMHO anymore than 6 is umanageable if you are going to veg them, although if you were going straight into flower you would probably need 12 to fill the tray. I havn't noticed a great difference in yield between 4 and 6 plants per tray - perhaps slightly more veg time with 4 just to fill the space up.

I tend to go for 6 now, once I lost a tray of young uns to a failed sub pump, I was able to move plants from my other 2 trays to use up the space, so its a little bit of insurance if things go wrong.

If you want to use all 15 plants, I would suggest, just do a 2 day veg, just till they're happy in their new home then go straight to flower, you won't get much per plant but they will be ready quick and you will save some leccy. Alternatively go for 6 and find a new home for their siblings.

Cheers for the advice boyos, i think i will veg for about a week because the room iv'e got is pretty big, then stick them straight into flowering
Mr g
just out of interest how much do you reckon i would get off each plant from doing the sea of green method??

Hello all..

On a 604 i would only put 4-6 plants and flower them when they are say 10" high. You will get a good result and you won't have as many plants. Also your buds will look better rather than being all crappy looking and scrappy...

Done well I would say you would be looking at between 2 and 4 oz per plant depending on all your other environmental issues..

last grow had 14 clones in a 604 and flipped lights(2x600w) when they were 8/9ins they didnt stretch much and ended up about 18 ins but got pytium at 3 week of 12/12.yield was a total disaster got just under 10 oz but bud quality was excellent.

my current grow i got 20 cuts on the table coz last time there was lots of space in the canopy and yield looks to have improved greatly and there has been no pytium this time either.
