I want to show you this very nice, symetrical, special Tai Satvia female to you all.

I call her "Create Girl"..................

I figure it is only a matter of weeks before she triggers into flower. How long. 4 - 8 weeks is my guess so some time before/during April.

She was sprouted from my 'seed bank'. The keeping of seeds has been the way I grew up with plants. It's a common practice in Oz back in the old days + gettng seeds in Oz was/is somewhat difficult & along time ago this was the means by which people kept there next summer's grow.

In a seed ! Very stelthy I guess

A short history :

The seed comes curticy of my Bro (M) who collected over 5000 seeds in Tailand 15yrs ago and has since propergated from seed . He dose 1 crop a year (12 seeds).

Every few years he has seeded off 1 female with a male. This particular seed came from unknown number of past grows my Bro has done seeding off.

That's all I know.

My experience[/U]
I have done 2-3 grows from these seeds. One was my one and only go at hydro (scrog) in 2002 which was pre my cloning days.

Not one hermie ever, every seed germs and and there is always one or two that really grabs me. This time she's in a Create and the other is straped to a Trellis HERE

Creat girl is doing well and the weather is real good. we have gotten Febuary out of the way and now it plain sailing on to March then the best time flower in April, May.

It's a long haul (timewise) and I am hoping to apply a folier bud booster in the comming month before she triggers then again once more 4-5 weeks in.

Vertical growth has almost ceased no. I wouldn't have a clue this will streatch in 12/12 light. Having a gurss it will be around 2'. I'd imagin the streatch may last 3 - 4 weeks depending on the reduction of light. at the moment were down to 13/11 loosing about 15 mins of sunlight each 2 weeks.

As this plant is mobile I could place it in the shade where it would get less light much quicker. I'd loose yield I think. The thing about this strain (Thai Satvia) is ya don'rt get the bulky heavy bds you find on the Indica strains.

I don't know about "old school" as back in those time manny yrs ago it was a 1 hour trip you do once every 2 weeks, taveling 50 - 100 km to water, view, check sex, ect and it took ages and alot of hard yakka.

Now it's indoors (3 strains) and a daily lookin. gottaa love it

You must have a bit of a 'nursery' going on then. Is that 3 landraces? Nice.

My nursery pic is linked in my signature (see 2005/6 out door grow). It's an eye full ......... and a yard full.

Unfortunately my other strains are not really considered 'landraces'. Like most 'introduced' species of canna here they are mostly imported hybrids. I have just germed 4 x Bubble Gun & 4 x M60. I have also picked up an AK clone to add to make the collection to what I consider a nice lot for 2006 winter.

There looks like alot of variations from what has poped out of the seeds ..... F1's ???. I have sexed 1 the BG's and 99.9% sure it is a girl. the fat leaves with only 3 fingers till the 3rd node look promising. However the internodal leanth is a little disaponting .........I'm hoping it was just too much streatch ....... the sun is a bloody long way away

did some work for a landscaper when I was in Australia, Man u should of seen the size of the colas!
he was harvesting around this time to.....he only had 5 plants flowering, but were they huge?.

nice comparison shot tho nit m8 , be intresting to see how much bigger she gets....

I'm glad you dropped in Giz. I have ended up with 5 females at the end. Even one plant I taged as a 7' male and pulled but not before taking a cutting. I have discovered I was overly keen to start germing. All a bit too early for the pots size (20 - 25 Lt). The 'N' is now really pulling out the leaves so I am thinking they are entering there final struggle. I think it is approximately another 4 - 6 weeks making a mid May finish time. November 05 to May

I think the las pic was in mid april so it;s time for an update on 'create Girl' .

All has been well although I could have done with 'Thrive' as a outdoor veging nutrient. I needed the extra 'N' and the 'Thrive' NPK is 27/5.5/9. The one I chose was an organic one called
'Dynamioc Lifter' - NPK is ?/?/? (unknown).

The 'Paperbark Create is ok. As far as drainage has gone is is good however spillage/run off- from the top I persist with. .. .. .. It may be up for imporvements and an additional 4 creates next summer.

I have beeb using 2 'bud enhancing' products.

1) "Add bud" an oz made cannabis specific with unknown formula (Organic)

2) "PK13/14" - the tried and proven 'P' & 'K'

Given I have no real idea of when these will ripen up and be ready for harvest - It's all to much brain actvity demand on my concentration but I think I am with in 6 weeks to run or nay be 8 weeks, but unlikely 8 weeks.

One thing I know the last 7 days feed of the 2 above bud enhancers have helped the plants kick up some crystal. Some of the plants buds are weighing down the at the tips. I can no longer feel the stems through a 'feel up' test

I only just realised, after re-reading your thread for the nth time, that by Create Girl you don't mean you were trying to create a girl, but rather that you are using a Crate for a pot

Pretty much under control & coping. 1 plant outside which was on its way out has treminated. It was my loest yielder and always looked unwell. So 6 - 8 to harvest (2 outside 'bowing Buda' & 4 x 3' cloned plants) are doing it tough. Plants need sunshine at this time.

Yes, the rain is a 'pisser' for my outdor plants which I can't relocate indoors temporarily. But for now I am being patient, inspecting daily for any signs of mold or soggyness. Indoor's it is dry and there is no sun outside. tiday the ain continues - I'm sure it setting a record - we got 70mm overnight.

I saw WA's weather & unusually warm & dryish for this time of the year.

I understamd the eastern souuthern coast is getting plenty of rain.I am thining as soon as the rain lifts and the sun will really come out for a few long hours. this I'm all hoping to happen after Saturday.

The rain has not been out here approx 7 days Create girl has ben in a state of stasis.

the buds are solid, smelliing unusually sweet & I think I saw a few rather ripe looking areas on the mid bud sections... .. .. so I think I am right about the 2 weeks to finish last week. That means a harvest is real near.

I have a stock of seeds (1,000) a plenty SCp. I leant alot about these plants this grow.

1) don't bother to sow seeds untill November.

2) take clones in Dec to flower

As for times go look yourself.

Roughly without trawling through back to 2005 when I first poped the beans (October 5th, 2005) as the date I believe - possibly Fowering Feb, March, Picked June & July.

It's been a reasonable Summer here, although we did get alot of rain at the end of April and June so the plants didn't get water or a feed for most of the last 8 weeks.
