Hey,
I normally dry my buds in a box, with a few holes for ventilation. I always find after a week or so drying it leavs the buds hard, and brittle feeling, is there something im doing wrong? Only reason I ask is that dealer weed never feels hard and brittle, maybe its just their stuff is shit

You're drying too quickly, that's why your buds are brittle ...

are you rinsing with plain water for the last week or ten days? xs nutrient can make it that way.

Don't use dealer weed as your benchmark.
Moisture = Weight = Cash.
If your buying dealer weed thats still moist, it would break
your heart ( and pocket ) to realise you will be left with a third to
a quarter of the weight you bought 4 days before.
Plus, damp smoke ain't cured at all. Less potency.
As far as brittle buds, if your ventilated box is causing the crop to dry
too quick, adjust where you store them, lower the ambient temps, put
less holes in the box.
Unfortunately, like everything else, its an experiment.
Try to dry your crop in different boxes with different conditions to
quicker get a method that works best.
Beware the rot...

I think you can re-moisten them by putting a fresh leaf in the curing jar for a few days. Never tried it myself and would question if this could contribute to mould, but have heard of success. Personally I find curing it for a couple of months in glass jars gives it a better feel and look. The last weed I smoked from my jars was the best purely because of the cure.

Its not really the temps you want to control, its the relative humidity, but unless you have £££ to spend on a hygrostat and a dehumidifier then you dont really have a choice.
Keep them cool and out of light, away from heat, this should keep them from drying out too quickly.
Make sure you check and turn them regularly!
You don't want them to rot.

Around 10 days+ does me fine in most instances, if theres some particularly fat buds they may need upto 3 weeks to become ready for jars tho

No less than five days.
After that its down to your will power
and how much ya got,
The longer the cure, the better the smoke.
