Right first things first a big THANK YOU to all the UK420 crew that's helped me get this far, thanks for all the advise,

also what i found helped was just reading through old threads aswell as regular magazines, free papers etc. but just reading reading & reading some more. plus i've enjoyed it so much anyway back to thew topic

My first grow was Skunk no.1 from hemcy costing £35 for 12 seeds. i hadn't heard of hemcy before but when i bought these i'd only heard of sensi seeds really, but even reading mags and web pages still don't see much about hemcy they have 5 starts from green man review i thinkit to do with the mail order business rather than seed quality

anyway i just started 9 seeds off in little pots with canna seed mix ( the bloke in the g shop gave me this for free knowing that i'd be back next week for a light ) 7 little seedling soon poped up above the soil

1 just didn't seem to want to grow anymore, after about 10 days the other six were vegged under a 250hps for 18 a day for about 8 week i kept checking for pre flower each time i found a male i'd kill it off this left me with 3 plantsthe sex was 2 females 1 unsure a close friend also gave me a cutting which was female un none strain he thinks it's some swazi skunk or similar personally i havent got a clue ( just don't think it's a nice a my Skunk No1)

anyway ended up with 2 female the other was a bloke realised after flowering for a week as i couldn't see hairs or balls untill this point on this particular plant. the 2 girls look very much the same. all through veg & flowering same structor and simailar hight and growth pattern.

Alsdo clones very easly i took 8 clones 7 turned in to plants which i thought might just be begginers luck anyway i cloned the clones whilst waiting for my orginal 2 plants (from seed) to flower i took 13 clones and 12 survived i gave these to a friend. so this plant must clone easily if i've had this good sucess rate

flowering on the sight say 8-10 weeks so been a novice i expected 8 weeks kept counting the days. i did let the plant grow normally then i had to tie the main colas over a 90 degree angle cause i was running out of height this aloud lower branches to reach up so i had a even level of buds.

anyway been my first grow i had to chop some bud at 8 weeks looking with a micro scope it was mainly clear with some turning milky i let this dry slowwly over days i trimed off al excess material

i then choped the rest of that plant at 9 weeks when alot more milky trichomes were visable i then trimmed this bud and save the trim for bubble.

the other plant which was kind of my favorite i tried to push for 10 weeks or until we have amber trichomes i decide to chop this on day 68 though all the leaves where going yellow from flushing so it had to come down

the only problem i discover was that my biggest main bud off the last plant to come down had a problem the day after harvest i looked at the buds and notice like a bit mushy like rotting leaves my main bud had some rot in it so i removed all the mushy area managing to save most of the bud i saved the top and bottom of the bud i'm not sure but i think the fan leaves had all yellowed i think i probably only removed part of a leaf and left the stem at least, in the main bud not realsing that it would decompose and destroy my beloved bud luckly me finding it quite early saved most of the bud cause i'm sure it wasn't like that when i harvested so it had happened overnight if i didn't find it i think it would of destroyed the who;e bud. I've read since that buds are more likely to get bud rot after trichome have turned amber

anyway my first plants been in the jar for about a week now and the amber trichome one just been jar'ed tonight anyway so whats it like well the planty 80% satica 20% indica, at first i wasn't to sure smoking it as i though well it tastes diffrent and wasn't sure about the flavour, then i realised i was quite stoned but not monged plus the flavour just seems normal now and curing it does make it much nicer.

my brother and my mates think it really good my brother knows but friend haven't a clue where i got it, my brother says it really good gets him really high ( he smokes but not 24/7 like me so it good to see what it does to you light toker and to get others views)

I'll give an update in a week or so on amber Tri one because i've only smoked Clear/Milky trichomed plant so far the other needs to cure.

with the plants i got just under 2 oz off my first plant and the 2nd which i had to cut some rot out off ended up givving me 2 oz exacly when trimed & dried.

Skunk no1 is a classic plant very easy to grow and a nice smoke too. this plant is a good place to begin for anyone wanting to start it survives well and clones easly.

also made nice bit of black resin off scissors and hands after trimming

Nice one bren... ....Seems like you've had a decent result then.

You will find that you get a significant improvement after three or four weeks in the jar and from there it will just get better an better.
Now you've got the pleasant job of finding the best one to keep as a Mum!!
